Celebrating a completed mentorship program with .birth.collective + — filled with love and gratitude for the opportunity to build community with these beautiful souls. Looking forward to witnessing us all bloom on our unique birth work paths. 🌸

We need more doulas, birth workers, and midwives of color in our communities. ✊🏿The impact of this role on families is backed by data and, more importantly, by the heartfelt testimonies of those who’ve received our support.

If you’re feeling called to begin learning, I welcome you to honor that calling — reach out to the community .birth.collective + and explore the resources available to help you start your journey.

Gathered together! ✨

Yesterday and .birth.collective came together for an incredible day of learning and connection at . There’s something special about continued learners—doulas, midwives, and birth workers sharing wisdom and deepening our relationships with one another.

Grateful for for providing such a beautiful space for connection and community resource. Thank you to the incredible alumni who continue to show up, the current cohort bringing fresh perspectives and everyone who made this gathering possible.

This is what community looks like. 💕

Women gathering, making sacred acts to honor the passageway and portals of birth and beyond. I think about how important it is that we are remembering these ways.

As I reflect on this day, integrating all that was experienced, I’m reminded of how crucial it is we continue to cherish and remember these ancient ways of praying.

Witnessing a mother receive so much love, presence and support from her community — feeling how these practices support the sinking in & surrendering to the journey that lies ahead stirs so many emotions within me. Our ancestors understood the significance of coming together and making sacred acts to honor these passageways and it grounds me to know that slowly, we are coming back to honoring our lives and the lives of our loved ones in these ways — connected to prayer, bridging generations and carrying the embodied wisdom of remembering to our future.

Bless all the mothers bringing forth new life. You are so loved by me. ♡

“Breastfeeding is an instinctual and natural act, but it is also an art that is learned day by day. The reality is that almost all women can breastfeed, have enough milk for their babies and learn how to overcome problems both large and small. It is almost always simply a matter of practical knowledge & not a question of good luck. “
