Protein gets the spotlight & fiber runs the production.

Fiber supports multiple systems at once:

• steadier blood sugar
• gut microbiome diversity (think more good bugs living in your gut)
• cholesterol management
• satiety and appetite signaling
• brain health through the gut-brain connection

It’s foundational to cardiometabolic and whole body health and yet most people are under-consuming it.

At Maya Feller Nutrition, we focus on the nutrients and patterns that current and improve long-term health markers and quality of life not what’s loudest on social media.

Fiber-forward eating is stable nourishment.

Ready for personalized support that fits your current health, your culture, and your real life?

Carbohydrates are still one of the most debated, and misunderstood, parts of the modern diet.

In this fireside-style conversation, I’ll be joining IFIC Vice President, Food Safety & Nutrition, Monica Amburn, MS, RDN, LDN, to unpack:

🔍 What the science actually says about carbohydrate-rich foods
🥗 Where consumer beliefs align or conflict with current guidance
🍽️ How culture, access, and real-world eating patterns shape food choices

New consumer research from the International Food Information Council (IFIC) shows just over half of Americans believe carbohydrate-rich foods can be part of a healthy diet… which means there’s still a lot of confusion (and a lot of unnecessary fear) around carbs.

Whether you’re supporting clients, educating communities, or translating nutrition science in your work this conversation is all about putting carbs back into context with evidence and real-life practicality.

Perceptions about American Food.

Tourists from Mexico noticed the US fixation on fried chicken. “It’s everywhere”.

Let me know your thoughts. 👇🏾

The current state of food and nutrition is dismal. In fact that’s an understatement.

So much burden falls on individuals to navigate the foodscape because the systems currently in place don’t support the majority. I’m here for the nuanced conversations.

Thoughts?

Talk about stepping out of your comfort zone! This fall I had the extraordinary pleasure of modeling for where I’ve been a member for years.

I rent for my on air appearances and speaking engagements and got an invite to a member tennis event (there’s a story there that includes me missing the ball multiple times) where I met members of the RTR team.

And the rest is history.

So here I am in Central Park, styled by RTR, wrangling dogs that are not my own smiling for the camera.
