My first two children were born in the hospital one with an epidural, and one naturally. My boys were both born at home in the water with wonderful midwives attending. After having my dream birth, my first home birth, I decided that I wanted to get my doula certification. I finished my courses, attended two births and was looking forward to a new chapter in my life. However, life has a funny way of messing up your plans and turning them into a sweet and squishy baby. ;) So needless to say my doula plans were put on the back burner. Sadly, my son has now weaned and I am hoping to get my name out there as a doula and start helping mom's get those beautiful births they want. I have also been a photographer for a few years now photographing mostly newborns, children and families. I would LOVE to incorporate birth photography into my doula services and am hoping to be able to give my clients amazing, inspired and emotional photos that they will cherish forever! During this time of building client relationships and a birth photography portfolio, I will be offering lower rates until I feel I have enough references and photos. For just my doula services (include consultations, support during all stages of labor, check up/ postpartum support/postpartum meal ) the price is $350 (a $50 deposit and the remaining $300 by 37 weeks). If you would like me to take pictures during labor and after the birth it is $425 for both.
