Why Everyone Should Learn CPR — And Why I Teach It
Every second counts when a heart stops.
Each year, over 350,000 cardiac arrests occur outside of hospitals in the U.S. alone. The survival rate drops by 10% for every minute without CPR — and yet, nearly 70% of bystanders feel helpless during emergencies. That’s a gap we can change.
As a CPR instructor, I see firsthand how simple skills can save lives. You don’t need to be a doctor or nurse — just knowing how to recognize cardiac arrest, call for help, and perform chest compressions can double or even triple someone’s chance of survival.
The truth is, CPR isn’t complicated. It takes a couple of hours to learn, and it stays with you for life. Whether it’s a loved one, a coworker, or a stranger in a store, you could be the one who makes the difference.
I teach CPR not just to pass on a skill, but to empower people with confidence. Emergencies are unpredictable — being prepared shouldn’t be.
If you’ve ever thought, “I wouldn’t know what to do,” now is the time to change that. Sign up for a local CPR class. Learn it. Share it. You might save a life — maybe even someone you love.
