Fire of the Month Club was founded on January 16, 2006 by a group of individuals with a common interest and passion for camp fires and the general camaraderie and good times had by all attending such an event. Fire of the Month Club Bi-Laws
An FMC meeting shall be recognized only by the fulfillment of each of the following conditions:

1.0 The combustion of organic material (preferably wood) in an orderly, controlled fashion.

2.0 The presence of no fewer than 2 persons in good standing with and in possession of FMC membership.

3.0 Beer and Cigars (with a valid medical excuse this requirement may be waived).

4.0 Non-local (including out of state) Chapters may be authorized by the Board of Directors, once a resident of said Chapter has fulfilled the requirements of membership.
4.1 The Board of Directors may then appoint this member as the President of said Chapter.
4.2 Chapter Presidents shall have the authority to authorize new members, until such time as they have sufficient members, and then follow the general Bi-Laws for new membership (See Articles 1.0 - 3.0).

20 year Anniversary of FMC Jan 16, 2026.
There was an epic anniversary fire at Camp Kayak with 34 pallets, 2 Christmas trees, a porch, and plenty of traditional firewood. No photos taken, but if we had security clearance, could probably have downloaded from satellites. 🔥
