Gloria loved virtually coming to Costa Rica with us! We shared sunsets, beaches, flowers, and tropical birds with her. Her caregivers loved coming along for the ride as well. She comprehended and asked lots of questions because she loves nature. So grateful for Juniper Village for helping keep us connected on my 9 days away.

This is the page from Gloria’s home. She’s always out enjoying the activities so you can keep tabs on her here.

Life as a Nonagenarian

So, Gloria grew up in Maine and if you ask her, she feels like her life has been pretty great, but fairly ordinary. If you ask her to tell you some stories, you will soon learn that her life has been anything but ordinary. Growing up on the coast of Maine in a hotel owned by her parents is the basis for many of these adventures. Having 6 children, 4 of whom were adopted from Korea, brings about a whole new gamut of stories.

In this busy, tech savvy day and age, we often tend to forget our seniors, but they hold the window to the past. Once we lose them, we will lose a bit of history so that is why we have decided to share Gloria’s stories with anyone who wants to come along for the ride. These are unscripted so we never know what we will learn. Take a step back in time with us!
