We’re excited to share the launch of our new program that helps parents bring learning home! Our Home-to-School Connection is all about building strong partnerships between families and teachers by providing instructions for at-home activities for families to do together that match their child’s current curriculum unit with us during the day.

Each month, we’ll share fun, hands-on activities and simple conversation starters designed to:
✨ Keep you connected to your child’s learning
✨ Spark curiosity and creativity at home
✨ Build confidence in the classroom and beyond

We had so much fun with the Trike-A-Thon supporting St. Jude's Research Hospital! Our children loved riding around, listening to music, while the fans (our younger age groups and families) cheered them on! Our Ducklings, Cardinals, and younger Penguins did a great job waving their clapping hands and pom poms! We raised over $500. Thank you for supporting this great cause!

🌱 Our Robins classes have truly bloomed this year! They did an amazing job in their garden, harvesting delicious carrots and green beans, with more veggies still growing strong. Each child had the opportunity to water the plants and explore their different parts using magnifying glasses.

Singing songs, reading books, and talking with the children helps to reinforce early language skills!

What is better than first breakfast? Second breakfast in the Hummingbird classroom! We provide breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack are all included with tuition. We have a great cook, Shirley, who loves visiting the classroom and ensure that all of the children's nutritional needs are met during the day.

Part of our community this week has been watching the process of demolition with the car dealership next door. Over the past 6 months we have watched them build a new building and then this week came with all the excitement of demolition. This is a child's dream and our four- and five-year-olds are loving every second!

What would you do with a magnifying glass? This little toddler is using his magnifying glass to investigate his classroom. What do you see through the lenses? Is it bigger or smaller? Lot's of questions to ask and we learn more every day!

We are taking sensory exploration to the next level in the Penguin A classroom. The children are washing cars in the sensory table with soap and water. Adding sunglasses makes it even more fun! Does the color of the red water look different through the sunglasses?

The Ducklings children go over, under, and all around on their playground. Peek a boo, I see you! As the children are playing on the playground they are strengthening their gross motor skills, taking turns, and beginning to talk about what they see outside!
