Yoga nourishes us from the inside out by helping to unite the mind and body, enhancing our physical and mental health while creating a deeper connection with the world around us.
In this 8-week morning yoga series, Deana DeFoe (C-IAYT) (RYT 500) will guide you step-by-step through a series of somatic and slow-flow yoga sessions to unwind body tension, build strength without strain, improve flexibility and coordination, and more. Each session builds upon the last to gradually and safely:
- Improve your balance and stability
- Reduced the risk of injury by strengthening the muscles that support your joints.
- Improve your coordination
- Improve your brain health by creating new neural pathways.
- Improve your overall strength
- Improve your flexibility and mobility.
- Improve your agility
By the end of this series, you'll transition from one yoga posture to another, experiencing the healing and strengthening power of the body and mind working in harmony. This is not just a yoga course; each session takes steps toward a healthier, more balanced you.
What you'll get in this series:
- Sixteen yoga sessions designed to progressively improve balance, stability, coordination, brain health, flexibility, mobility, and agility, reducing your risk of injury. This gradual progression ensures your safety and confidence in your yoga practice.
- Sixteen post-session e-mails, with a recap of the practice, reflection questions, and home practice suggestions to support taking your yoga practice off the mat and into your daily life.
- Step-by-step guidance on the foundational yoga postures so you can quickly familiarize yourself with each pose, movement, and flow. This personalized guidance ensures you have the support you need in your practice.
- Vinyasa yoga sequences that emphasize flowing with intention from posture to posture, moving in an authentic range of motion to reduce any risk of injury.
- Expert guidance on connecting breathing with movement to unlock healing and interconnectedness between mind, body, and spirit

Course Cost:
$18/session or $250 for the Series, if paid before start of first session on January 7.
Equipment you'll need to support you in your practice:
• Yoga mat
• Two yoga blocks
• A large towel or yoga blanket
• A yoga bolster or a pillow
• Yoga stretch strap or Theraband
