๐ฒ How I went from exhausted to energized in 5 minutes last Saturday
You know those weekend mornings when you should feel rested but instead feel like you got hit by a bus? That was my Saturday.
I was dragging despite getting decent sleep. Didn't want to do anything, just wanted to hide under the blankets.
Then I remembered this blend I'd made for my husband when his energy was crashing at work. Black Spruce (Picea mariana) and Pine (Pinus sylvestris) oils in Jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis) oil, applied over the kidneys - something I'd read about in Kurt Schnaubelt's aromatherapy book. The idea is these oils can gently support the adrenal glands without the coffee crash.
I figured it was worth a shot.
About 5 minutes after rubbing it on my lower back, I started feeling this warm tingling spread through my body. The brain fog just lifted. Not that jittery coffee energy, but like my body actually woke up.
By afternoon I'd gotten stuff done around the house, spent time outside with my husband, and still had energy for our evening fire pit.
Random bonus: When I breathed in the oils from my hands after applying, my stuffy nose cleared up for hours. Wasn't expecting that!
It's funny how we always reach for caffeine when sometimes our bodies just need a different kind of support.
