I had a smashed my toe (possibly broken) on Friday December 29th. The first pic is day 1 and the second is after 2 days of twice a day use. After 5 days my toe is virtually back to normal.
I’m even running full speed and keeping up with our 2 adventurous boys.

EVERY year I say "no more chickens" because do y'all know what a responsibility it is to keep these tiny dinosaurs alive? And the trauma involved in losing a bird to its preditors?
And every year I come home with another flock of chicks because the world is going to hell and now eggs are being sold on the black market and..."what if"....
So yes, more chickens will be coming this weekend.

I grew up in Michigan where once Fall hits you don't see the sun until about April and why would you want to do anything outside?
I now live in Colorado where even if it's 20 degrees outside it's not that cold (if it's not windy) and you can get out and play!
It also helps that we have these new Pickleball courts in town.....and we now know the rules of the game...and have new paddles....and it was sunny this day.

Not enough health professionals are talking about Long Covid. Long Haulers. Whatever it is, it’s the after-effect of a COVID infection and most of the time is worse than the actual illness itself.
For me, I have been battling it since my November 2021 infection. The lingering respiratory issues, chronic cough, lack of breath, fatigue, and loss of taste were all present but I didn’t recognize it until the anxiety hit me full force about a year ago. There was zero reason for me to be feeling the anxiety as intense as it was so I started doing my research.
Most people won’t even recognize they are Long Haulers. They recognize that they haven’t “bounced back” after COVID but they typically don’t put the two together.

Let’s talk about Red Food Dye. If you wonder why your kid is an as***le when they get home from school on Valentine's Day, just remember this....
The first time I realized it the effects it had on my kids was absolutely terrifying. My oldest started screaming at the top of his lungs, completely freaking out like he was in intense pain, eyes, bugged, rocking back and forth in his car seat. It was nothing I had ever experienced as a mom before. I had to pull the car over to figure out what was wrong with him and as I pulled the red velvet cupcake from his hand I immediately knew it was the red food dye.
Why are you still eating ANYThing with this toxin in it? It is thought to be linked to allergies, migraine, and mental disorders in children.

I lost a client last week...and I couldn't be happier!
I can tell when they are ready to be done with me, our last session is simply a catch-up and there is really nothing more to talk about in terms of their struggles. Because there are none. They've done the work, they know how to make and break habits, they have been through all of the ups and downs of life and together we have figured out they can get through it or what they can learn for next time. They have learned how to recognize patterns, how to feed and listen to their body, how to set boundaries, how to love themselves and make themselves a priority. They have learned it all and they are ready to do it on their own.
WHO WOULDN'T BE EXCITED ABOUT THAT? It means there is one more person out in the world that has transformed into the person they wanted to be.
And when I say this person was the BEST client I have ever coached, I am being 100% serious. They put in the work for this change. They did the things they told me they weren't going to do when we first started. It's okay to be yourself and embrace your quirks because no one is you, that’s your superpower.

Ew, is everyone sick where you live too? I'm loading up on immune boosting fruits, veggies, and supplements...and laying on my PEMF mat.
My new favorite "smoothie" (but not really) is inspired by the drink I had at Choice Health Bar in Maui. I'm still playing with the ingredient amounts but here's what's in it-this makes 2+ 16oz (ish) servings:
1-2 peeled lemons (or 1/4-1/3 cup lemon juice)
1 peeled lime (or 2 TBL/1oz.)
1/2 cup-ish frozen pineapple
1 heaping tsp spirulina
1 shake of cayenne pepper
ice (1 cup-ish)
1 cup (ish) water, maybe more
2-4 TBL maple syrup (low glycemic index so it doesn't spike your blood sugar)
Blend it all up and you're good to go!

One of my friends has not been feeling right ever since C0vid hit last year. So I got her on my PEMF mat this morning and a few hours later she sent me this text.

Back in November, I had a severe and chronic allergic reaction that caused an eczema breakout around my eyes, mouth, and the side of my face. I woke up every morning with, painfully swollen itchy eyes. It lasted over 6 weeks. I was able to get most of the eczema under control except for around my mouth. Hi! I’m Kelly, a Certified Health Coach and owner of ApotheKelly Wellness. My passions are many (thanks ADD) but hey, I never am at a loss for something to talk about! Whether it be whole health, whole-food, wellness, do-it-yourself (anything!), natural remedies (I call this my low-hanging fruit), inspiration, personal growth, gemstone/crystal woo (and the beautiful jewelry I make with it), organic wellness products (that I also make) no-nonsense truth, pick-me-up-when-I’m-down goodness. I know, that’s a lot....and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
"Health" is an interesting term because “health” is not just about the food you put in your body or the exercise you put out. "Health" is a delicate balance of the main components of your life. The thoughts you put IN your head, your relationship with yourself and those around you, your relationship with money and your career, and the respect you have for yourself to move and utilize our incredible and able bodies - our Primary Food.
My passion for health and wellness really started my mom (and then eventually dually inspired by Martha Stewart in the 90’s.) I probably was the only 12 year old with a magazine subscription to Martha Stewart Living. But I was fascinated by every. single. page. I wanted to do it all and make it all just like her. And with my mom telling me ALL of the time “Kelly, you could MAKE that!” and then eventually “Will you make that for me?” I never thought I couldn’t do something. And thus spawned a lot of interests and fun habits. Habits that I have eventually turned into a Health Coaching practice and organic wellness product line.
But there is one thing I can’t do. Eat a LOT of different foods. As a Celiac and a lifelong allergy sufferer, I understand the frustration, anxiety, and fear that comes along with a food restrictions, allergies, and food intolerances. Over the years I have learned to adopt a simple and manageable whole food, gluten-free, allergy-friendly lifestyle for myself and my family with what we eat and the products we but on our body. Because food restrictions (allergies, intolerances etc.) affect more than just our digestive system.
