What motivates you to eat well and get some movement in - even when you don't feel like it?
These 2 are big motivators for me! They are very active and when they don't get enough exercise they are super naughty!
Oh, and it's Tine's (the spotted one) birthday today! 🐾🎉🎈

🍂 Fall is here and the days are getting shorter, which can make it tougher to get that all-important morning sunlight (or at least some daylight).

I’ve got a challenge for you: for the next 30 days, get outside for just a few minutes at least 4 times per week. 🌞

Take a photo and drop it in the comments—or send it to me privately if you prefer. Even if you head to work in the dark, step outside on your morning break, lift your face to the sky, and soak it in.

Who’s in? ✨

💙 Living with chronic or long-term health challenges isn’t easy. But sometimes, in the middle of managing our own struggles, it’s easy to forget the quiet strength of the people who stand beside us.

Our loved ones sacrifice time, energy, and often their own needs — all to support us through the hard days and celebrate with us on the better ones. They carry part of the weight we feel, even when we don’t always see it.

✨ Today, I just want to say thank you. ✨
To every spouse, partner, family member, and friend who has stood in the background, holding us up when we couldn’t do it ourselves — your love matters more than words can express.

If you’re supporting someone through a health journey: you are seen, you are appreciated, and you make all the difference. 💙

☕Today is International Coffee Day!☕

How do you take your coffee? Black, a little cream, or lots of extras?

Do you have a favorite cup?

✨ Small steps add up to big change — when made consistently. ✨

It’s tempting to want to jump straight to the end result, but skipping the small steps almost always means we have to circle back… or even start over.

Big, all-or-nothing changes can feel overwhelming, stressful, and unsustainable. But small, steady shifts? Those are realistic, achievable, and they stick.

Focus less on being perfect and more on being persistently consistent. Over time, those small steps become lasting transformation. 💙

What’s one small step you can take today?

🦷👉 Did you know one of the simplest ways to support your digestion (and even manage your weight) starts with how you chew your food?

When you chew thoroughly, you:
✨ Give your digestive system a head start (saving it energy)
✨ Absorb nutrients more effectively
✨ Eat less without even trying—because it takes time for your stomach to tell your brain you’re full!

Slow down, chew well, and notice the difference in how you feel. Your gut (and your energy) will thank you. 💙

Do you tend to eat fast, or are you already a mindful chewer?

There’s always something a little bittersweet about the shift from summer to fall. The long, warm days fade, and with them the easy sunlight, late evenings, and slower rhythms. 🍂

But fall also brings a chance to reset—back-to-school routines, cozy meals, cooler mornings, and new rhythms for body and mind.

As the seasons change, I’ve been thinking about how important it is to stay intentional with routines like:
☀️ Getting morning sunlight (even as the days get shorter)
🏃 Keeping movement and exercise a priority
🥗 Shifting eating habits to match the season

I’d love to know—what changes do you make in your routine during this transition from summer to fall?

What are you doing for fun this weekend?

My husband: You'll actually catch fish if you leave the dogs at home.
Me: But they'll be sad if they stay home and they're so cute!
Also me yelling: You guys get out of the water, you're scaring the fish!

Some weeks feel especially heavy. It’s in those moments we’re reminded of how important it is to care for our mental and physical health—not just for ourselves, but also for our families, our communities, and our country. 💙

This has been important to me for a long time, but honestly, I don’t always speak up about it. I’m much more comfortable in one-on-one or small group conversations than I am putting anything on social media. But I also know these conversations matter, and I want to keep them going.

Through neurofeedback and functional nutrition services, I help people find support and healing—but this isn’t just about my work. Even if I can’t help directly with what you’re going through, simply starting a conversation can sometimes spark something new.

So if any of this resonates with you, please reach out. You don’t have to go further than a conversation. Sometimes that first step—just talking—is the most powerful one. 🌱
