Keystone Recovery

Keystone Recovery Reopening September 1, 2020. A transformative sober living community for men and women.

Keystone Recovery is designed to allow participants to go well beyond abstinence to learning how to make healthy, appropriate choices so that they may develop positive personal relationships and can deal with the internal condition that caused them to turn to illicit chemicals or alcohol for relief. Our belief is that the foundation for this is immersing oneself in the twelve-step process.

Excited to announce the reopening of Keystone Recovery
Transformative
Sober Living
We will be re-opening our doors the first of September 2020.
Keystone will be more than just a roof over a man or woman’s head, sending them out to work every day and do a few meetings a week. Our program will be set up to truly help transform lives. Addressing mental, spiritual and physical health. Sending a person back into the world fully equipped to succeed and excited about the new start and opportunities ahead of them.We will also be partnering with a local staffing agency so that job placement after the first 30 days with us is guaranteed.
Looking forward to working with each and everyone of you.

From Lavender Light: JULY 2
"Some people regard discipline as a chore. For me, it is a kind of order that sets me free to fly." Julie Andrews
*****
A young man spent a year in India, studying with wise men and gurus. When it came time for him to return home, he asked one of his teachers, "If there is one thing I should know, what would that be?" the reply was "Get a routine and stick to it." This answer seemed very uninspired to the student, and it was years before he fully understood its implications.

In order to accomplish anything, we must have a framework. That framework is supported by discipline. The same principle applies to working our program. Each day should include a time set aside for prayer and meditation and a review or our daily schedule. We ask for the guidance and strength necessary to fulfill our daily obligations. Vigilance in this area will keep us spiritually centred and better able to meet life's daily challenges.

"Growth means change and change involves risk, stepping from the known to the unkown."

"If human beings can be trained for cruelty and greed and a belief in power which comes through hate and fear and force, certainly we can train equally well for greatness and mercy and the power of love which comes because of the strength of the good qualities to be found in the soul of every human being."

First, divine order is actual.

Our habitual narrow mental vision prevents us from stepping back and seeing the “pattern” of our days and lives.

Second, let us accept all the roads we’ve taken.

Too often, we cling to our head-shaking guilt and aching regret, repeatedly labeling our choices as catastrophes.

Third, without “wasteland” experiences, we couldn’t be where we are now.

Our experiences have come precisely because we’ve needed them. This recognition is without a doubt difficult and embarrassing. But we’ll live with ourselves much more easily when we realize that we’ve chosen each event, consciously or not, for growth. As we admit our choices, we become more open to the lessons we needed to learn. Then we’re ready to allow the next good before us.
