I am a grieving mother who lost her 22 y/o son Kyle Xavier on 24 March 2019, to a Deep Vain Thrombosis & Pulmonary Embolism (DVT/PE) that traveled from his leg to his heart. It was the worst night of my entire life. There were so many questions I had and still never found answers to. He was home from the hospital for 2 weeks after being in a medically induced coma for 8 days from an asthma attack.

He spent 12 days total in the hospital and we spent the next two weeks attending multiple appointments for his asthma, and pain in his leg along with having compartment syndrome from being in a coma. I created this page to connect with others who share in my grief. I am the owner of Over the Rainbow Retreat, LLC, creating retreats for grieving mothers. I am working towards my grief counseling certification which is one way that has helped me navigate this journey. I created this FB page to provide content, resources and my own person experiences to others who are grieving and navigating this same path.

7 years its been now.
I remember your face, I remember your smile.
I remember the good times, we had for a while.

7 years still the silence.
7 years still finding balance.
I remember the grief and the sorrow.
I remember today and even tomorrow.

7 years there's still a void.
7 years I can't avoid.
You will always be my favorite son.
You will always be my number one.

Today, 5 years ago, Kyle gained his angel wings. I hope he is in a better place, I hope he isn't struggling or in pain and I hope he realizes how much I miss him and love him. I will never be the same person I was the day before he left us. I will never forget him and I will always have a piece of me missing. I love you Kyle Xavier, forever in our hearts.
