In the world of pediatric cancer patients, dreams often revolve around the simple joys of childhood. This Halloween, The Nguyen Memorial Cancer Relief Foundation launched a campaign named Not All Heroes Wear Cape, sponsoring dream Halloween costumes to pediatric cancer patients. The name of our campaign holds the message that we also want to send to all these strong little souls: Whether you choose to be a superhero or a princess or anyone you want to be for Halloween, you are still a hero of your own life and your loved ones. It warms our heart to see Emilia’s smile as her dream to be Mirabel came into life! May she have a wonderful Halloween 💛

“Leonidas was diagnosed back in December 2022 after his pediatrician thought his liver felt enlarged at his regular checkup. After an ultrasound and then a CT discovered a large tumor in his abdomen, Leo was sent to Children's Hospital for an immediate admission. Leo was in the hospital for 15 days at the start of his journey. He went through biopsy surgery and began emergency chemo during that time due to the mass restricting his breathing. He spent his first Christmas and New Years in the hospital. Leo has since gone through six rounds of chemo and multiple scans to continue to monitor his progress. Leo is a strong little warrior and continues to fight and keeps a smile on his face even in the worst of times.“-

I’m proud to announce that I have received a on the behalf of the Nguyen Memorial Cancer Relief Foundation. For those of you who don’t know, my name is Anh Nguyen, and I am the founder of Cancer Relief. Three years ago, I used all the savings that I had at the time as a 15-year-old to send out the first care packages. Three years later, Cancer Relief is now a registered 501c(3) with 500 care packages delivered across the United States and $4000 donated directly toward the cancer community. While knowing that I can only do so much, it brings joy to my heart, being able to contribute as much as I can to the lives out there affected by cancer. I am currently a full-time undergraduate at the University of Southern California, studying Biopharmaceutical Sciences with an aspiration to pursue a career in healthcare or medicine. My journey would have been impossible without each and every support from you.

Established in memory of Diana, Princess of Wales, the Diana Award is given out by the charity of the same name and has the support of both her sons, HRH The Prince of Wales and The Duke of Sussex. Thank you to all who have made this possible.

Virgil and our care package! May it bring a smile to his day📦❤️

“Virgil was diagnosed with FOX O+ Rhabdomyosacoma in January of 2022 after having a tumor that everyone said was benign removed. We were shocked to discover it was malignant and that he would have to begin his cancer fighting journey at such a young age! He has had a smile in the face of this difficult road and is almost done with consolation phase of chemo and will be starting maintenance chemo in December or January. We are hopeful that his treatment will end by next summer and he will be forever cancer free.”-

Charlie and his care package! May it bring some joy and comfort to his day📦❤️

“In June of 2022, our two year old was hardly eating, constantly getting sick, always sleeping, crying and even sometimes limping around the house in pain. We rushed him to the ER for a blood transfusion after getting some lab work done only to be transported to the cancer unit at Primary Children’s immediately after. At only 2 years old, he has been diagnosed with leukemia (blood cancer). Charlie has always been our energetic chatterbox, who you can usually find waving at strangers on the sidewalks, jumping on trampolines or riding his bike down the road. It has been heartbreaking to watch our fun, happy-go-lucky little guy become exhausted, sick and traumatized during this treatment, but he continues to smile and remind us that he is strong like Spidey! Charlie will undergo at least 2.5 years of chemotherapy in the hopes of fighting this cancer for good.”- .like.spidey

In November 2022, Kasen was diagnosed with Stage 3 High Risk Neuroblastoma Cancer at Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham. He has been back and forth to his pediatrician and hospitals for abdominal pain since 2021. May this little gift will bring a smile to his day. Sending so much love your way, Kasen 📦❤️

Leah has been fighting Infantile High Risk B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia since she was 7 months old. She has relapsed twice since then and will soon be a part of a dual Car T trial called Plat-05 by a bone marrow transplant. Sending all good vibes and hugs for your next journey, Leah!
