Since becoming a mom about 7️⃣ weeks ago to the most beautiful baby boy to have ever lived, I’ve been in a space of deep REFLECTION.

I planted seeds for my son Santiago Amari to make his appearance in this world in December 2021. I was on a trip with one of my best friends, Paola (), in San Miguel de Allende, MX. During our mini retreat, we laughed, we journaled, ate great food, bought super cute things, and took in the ambiance and magic that is SMA. I shared with her about my literal actual dream of having a son and how I would name him sANTiaGO.

During this same trip, I told her I was longing to attend a retreat to connect with all parts of me. I returned from Mexico and had an email about a Women Who Heal Retreat with & . It’s like I manifested the most perfect retreat for me! 🥹🩵

So of course I went to Women Who Heal in September 2022 and had the opportunity to shed, cry, and release all things holding me back from becoming a mom. I met the most incredible women on this retreat who are some of my closest friends/sisters today.

I’m sharing all the selfies I took on this trip because I was my most authentic self - No makeup, natural hair. I finally felt at home & at peace. Shoutout to my sisters from WWH - Thank you for accepting ME for ME! 🥲🩵

Happy September 🍁🍃

The quote of the month is an oldie but goodie. I started doing quotes of the month back in 2012 at my first Therapist job at a DMH Contracted Agency.

I used to have a coworker who would make fun and poke fun at my “Quotes of the Month.” I imagine she thought they were childish… My feelings were hurt. Of course I had to process it in therapy at the time. “Why is she making fun of me? I hate being bullied for just being me.”

I eventually got “over it,” kinda, but the most important piece is I still do my Quotes of the Month. Even on IG. I didn’t let her ignorance and dismissive-ness bring me down.

People suck sometimes. They say things without thinking, I’m sure I’ve been guilty of it too. I always try to do my best. My reason for sharing quotes of the month is to hopefully inspire someone to keep going.

So this month’s Quote… I have many apologies I’ve learned to accept on my own terms. Many people have done me wrong yet I’ve learned to forgive and move forward, something I learned from my incredible Father, may he RIP. People still suck but I work on FORGIVENESS daily 🙏🏼✨

47 Days with our beautiful SONshine: Santiago Amari ☀️✨

Truth be told - He came out of my womb and immediately grabbed Anthony’s finger! It was the sweetest thing and I’m so grateful that Ant snapped the pic to capture that special moment 🥹🩵

Becoming a mom has completely shifted me into a magical portal dimension. It’s been a wild period of transition - Getting rid of people, places, & things that no longer serve us and honoring our precious family first. Ironically, having Santiago, has brought Anthony & I much closer in every way possible. We really do do everything as a TEAM 👑 💫

6️⃣ weeks into Parenthood and I’ve already learned so many lessons!!!! Santiago has truly provided me with the gift of slowing down. Our village has showed up left and right. I love their gentle reminders that Anthony & I that we are capable of doing this thang 💪🏽💥

Some days are great, some days are tough but overall manageable. We’re thriving, we’re living, and taking in every SACRED moment of Parenthood. Thank you God for the blessing and gift of being Santiago’s Mommy 🥲🩵

Y’all!!!! I’ve officially transitioned into Motherhood 🥹🩵

If you keep up with my IG stories and my walks I’ve posted throughout my whole pregnancy - I actually went into early labor right after my last neighborhood walk on the morning of Friday 7/5! Literally right before the transition into the New Moon in Cancer 🥲🌙♋️ ✨

I had legit just shared that I treat every walk like it’s my last with baby & the bump, and boom. I had asked my son to at least give me a week off in between ending with clients and he honored that for me. Intuition is real y’all!!! Don’t let them tell you otherwise 😏✨

I’m happy to report I’m officially a proud mama to the most beautiful and perfect baby boy whom was born in the early morning on Sunday, 7/7 - 5 whole days before our due date of 7/12. Mama, Papa, & Baby are all very happy, healthy, recovering, & bonding well. We couldn’t have made it through the other side without our incredible village of family, friends, and providers, we thank you and are so grateful for you. We’re officially and proudly The Sheelers - Party of 3️⃣.

I’m taking it all in and practicing what I preach: Being Present. I’ll be taking a much needed break and disconnection from social media but I will be back, sometime in the future. Thank you for all your kind words and support, especially from those during my pregnancy - It has really meant a lot to me! 🥲🙏🏼

I am so grateful for the community I’ve built here on IG and the continuous love and support I’ve received for Glow In Therapy. This is the space where you learn to Glow with Glo. It all started out as a blog idea in 2019 and here we are, almost 5 years later, in our 3rd year of being an S-Corp: Incredible!!! Thank you for seeing me & supporting my work with comunidad! To My One & Only, The Love of My Life, My Twin Flame, The Yin to My Yang, My Husband & Official Baby Daddy 😍♾️

“I never knew a Love like this…”

What a fitting line to describe our incredible love story. We met dancing in 2005 at a pajama party Freshman Year at LMU and the rest was history. I will never forget the way I felt laying eyes on you during the daytime coming out of UHall in between classes. I had a hard time telling you & Jay apart back then (Anthony is an identical so full confession: I would wait for you to wave to me first, then I knew “oh yes that one is Ant” 😂🙃

We officially started dating on 02.03.06 and you said we could never forget since 02 x 03 = 06. That’s the Engineer in you 🤓 Our time together was magical and also difficult and trying, as most relationships at 18 are.

Today, as I was going through pictures of us, I came across this one from the first concert I ever went to. You knew how much I loved Common and took me to my first concert at CSUN. We had a blast that day, especially me when Common directly pointed at me in the Front Row and I damn near fainted 😂👌🏼

We would date for 2 years before spending the next 10 years apart. As destiny would have it, we reconnected Summer of 2017. I thank you for your patience, kindness, love, and compassion as I moved through some of the most challenging times in my life. You asked me to be your Valentine February of 2018 and knowing how much I loved Giraffes, took me on a date to feed Giraffes at the San Diego Safari Park 🦒🌿

I wouldn’t find Sobriety & Recovery for another year (February 2019) but you stayed right by my side being my biggest cheerleader and supporter. You believed in me and loved me until I could learn to do the same for myself. Through the good and bad times in the 18+ years of knowing you, you’ve always shown up and picked up my calls and texts. No questions asked.

We would later get engaged in Jan 2021, married in May 2021, and celebrate our wedding in Nov 2021. 2 years later in Nov 2023, we would find out we were going to be parents to our beautiful and loved baby boy.

I am so incredibly blessed to be on this journey with you. Everything has happened and unfolded exactly as it was supposed to. God chose the perfect man for me. I’m so excited for our son to found out just how awesome his daddy is, I know he will admire you and love you more than I do. Te Amo con todo mi corazón, Mi Vida, Mi PC. Cheers to our initiation into Parenthood, may it be our greatest journey yet 😘🥂

Happy July 🩵✨

This month we are celebrating all things Growth & Transformation 🦋💥

Last time I posted a Quote of the Month, was in February & I was 17 weeks pregnant. I took a break from posting all things Quote of the Month & Monday Moon Mantras to focus on being more present & attuned with the pregnancy transformations in body, mind, spirit, & heart. It has been quite an exciting & liberating journey leaning into Trusting & Surrendering 🙏🏼💫

Today we are 38+ weeks and have officially entered our son’s birth month. Pregnancy has been the most JOYOUS experience that 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣4️⃣ has brought me. Que emoción realizing we will be meeting our SON very soon!!! 🥹🩵

Part of what has helped me as I’ve mentioned, is being more present in body, mind, spirit, & heart. So I leave you with the following to reflect on this month:

This past Mother’s Day was so special for many reasons as I am in transition to becoming a first time Mami to a beautiful baby boy coming any day now 😅🩵

Life got pretty crazy busy these last few months between preparing for parenthood, celebrating family birthdays and graduations, purchasing our first out of state investment property, taking a trip to Maui for our baby moon and maternity shoot, saying goodbye to our Burbank apartment, moving into our first home in a new city, and having our baby shower! All in the midst of me seeing clients full time. I can happily say at 38 weeks, I’ve successfully made it to Maternity Leave & officially off the clock until October! What a blessing 🥳🙌🏼

I never got around to sharing this incredible opportunity that came my way from this past May. I had the pleasure of writing my first piece and sharing my story of gratitude for Motherhood con nuestra comunidad. It was such a wonderful experience as it allowed me time to reflect on such a special time in my life while also giving flowers 💐 to the strong, powerful mujeres who have paved the way for me to become a Mami open heartedly 🥰❤️

I am truly my ancestors’ wildest dreams. I come from a small finca in Chiriqui, Panamá that borders Costa Rica - Our stories are seldom heard. It’s honor to share mine with the world. My inner niña could have never dreamt up these experiences and opportunities as a First Gen, Panamanian American immigrant 🇵🇦🇺🇸

In the midst of all our transitions, we had a beautiful and memorable Baby Moon in April, in one of our favorite places: Maui 🌺

Life has felt pretty hectic over here but we’re making it work. Hectic but in a Good Way, is what I’ve been sharing with friends who check in with me regularly. All things I’ve been prepared to work through.

I remember the days of feeling lost, broken, and uncertain and the many nights Anthony held me and wiped my tears, promising me that we could make it through anything together no matter what it was. 7 years later, all his promises and more have come true. Grateful for all the healing that has taken place to bring us closer together each and every day.

There is truly no one else I could imagine sharing my life with. We’ve been blessed with achieving many personal life goals in the last 8 months alone, many dreams we set out to accomplish when we got married 3 years ago.

Looking back, I can see how every step, hurdle, challenge, and milestone we’ve crossed together has been preparing us to receive our Baby Boy this July.

Thank you God for all the guidance and promises you’ve fulfilled for us. Grateful for every step of our journey into Parenthood 🥲🙏🏼🩵✨
