Intro to Music Therapy, Spring Semester 2026 ✅ Gratitude to Saint Michael's College for the opportunity to teach here on campus. All of the students who have taken the course over the last 5 years have been incredible and this year that was definitely true! The students this semester were kind, thoughtful, smart, and talented! Always bittersweet to end our time together! It may have snowed here yesterday but the sun is shining at the Greenhouse Building today. I got asked recently if our building is an actual greenhouse- and it is/was. We house the potted plants from a local marina in the winter and pretty soon they will return to that spot for the summer! Music therapy and art happens here at the Greenhouse throughout all the seasons (& in the in -between! ❄️ 🌺)

Last week, in Jam Band, we celebrated a special birthday and a birthday happening this week. A very kind caregiver bought special t-shirts for all participants in honor of the birthdays and it brought a lot of joy! Jam Band is a circle where music, laughs and friendship are shared generously. I co-lead this group with Joanna May, MT-BC, and we wonder if there might be other young adults looking to share their musical gifts with others. Vermont is famous for mud season and it has arrived early to the Greenhouse!! Music therapy keeps going but visitors beware- there was an issue that caused our lot to be torn up and that has created a lot of mud! Please share songs or music you might know around the theme of mud- as we are making the best of it and keeping the music rolling! 🫟
