We live in a world that worships speed. Our days are measured in productivity metrics, our worth calculated by output, our spirituality reduced to what can be accomplished in a 15-minute morning devotional between the alarm and the commute. We are a people who have forgotten how to be still, how to simply be present without agenda or achievement. Our screens glow with endless demands, our calendars overflow with commitments, and somewhere in the noise, we have lost the art of listening—to God, to ourselves, to the more-than-human world that surrounds us.
This is a book about slowing down. About stepping out of the frenetic pace of modern life and into the timeless rhythm of relationship with horses. It is an invitation to remember what our souls have always known: that we are not machines designed for efficiency, but creatures made for connection, contemplation, and communion with the Divine.
And it is an invitation extended not by human wisdom alone, but by some of the most ancient and wise teachers we have been given—horses.”
