Today I have loved my job for 365 days.

365 days of: 1 bat mitzvah, 2 non-profit fundraisers, 1 vendor anniversary celebration, 1 boutique open house, 17 ceremony rehearsal coordinations, 12 Day of Coordinations, 3 Full Planning Service and 32 weddings.

I GET TO create the best day of people’s lives. I GET TO be a part of one of the most creative and humbling industries full of some of the radest people I’ve ever met. I GET TO play a small role in so many love stories. I GET TO interact with so many personalities from wedding parties, family members and guests. I GET TO celebrate the love of two people and share in the most special moment of when they say ‘I Do’ (and yes, the romantic in me still cries at every single one..). So this ‘job’ (which has never felt like a job) is the most fulfilling work I’ve ever been a part of.

I’m lucky to be this young doing something I’ve been so passionate about for such a long time. —> swipe to see me at my first wedding ever as an intern in school 5 years ago.... Then, I never thought I would actually be able to be a wedding planner. It was always just a dream job that I never imagined would actually happen. But here I am.

It may not happen right away, but don’t ever give up on the dream job. I mean who would have thought wearing a colorful jumpsuit at a friend’s wedding would in turn get me an interview with my now boss. And who would have thought a boss, ,would become one of my closest friends. And who would of known that this company would become my second family, shoutout to The Tasman’s!! It’s crazy how the world works. But I’m so unbelievably grateful for how it all worked out for me.

So here’s to an even better year with my favorite family owned local business .

And oh yeah: If you need a wedding planner, hype woman, shoulder to lean on during the hectic planning process and creative mind to bring your Pinterest Board to life, let me know! I absolutely got you.

Self love is the most important form of love.

This is something that has taken me A LONG time to realize. Throughout my life, I always grabbed on tight to anyone that loved and cared for me: close friends, guys, FAD objects and moments.. at the time I didn’t realize the WHY to this but looking back, I wish I could tell younger me to just focus on how to truly just love me.

This is STILL a daily practice I have to strive to work towards and implement in my routine. BUT, I got a lot of love for myself and that’s a feeling I never felt so strong for.

Self love for me looks different every day. To me it’s:
• Reflecting and writing my daily gratitudes
• Figuring out to be still and in the moment with my soul + my body by practicing meditation
• Doing the dishes and cleaning up around the house
• Working out and pushing myself to the limits, digging in deep to overcome obstacles
• Listening to music and imagining the movements that would go along with the rhythm
• Loving on Mumford and just spending quality playing time with her
• Going on a walk and enjoying all the smells and natural outside world
• Taking a LONG shower breathing in all the essential oils
• Praying to HIM and being in-tune with a spiritual connection

This is MY self love. These are the practices that no matter how my day looks or what is happening in the outside world, I can simply do and feel just so damn good about myself.

Self love LOOKS + FEELS different TO everyone. But, self love is the most important form of love FOR everyone. In the midst of life and the time we are living in, don’t forget to put yourself first at the beginning + end of every day. Continue to spread love to others but first and foremost to YOURSELF.

✨Don’t look anywhere but ahead.

I am the type of person that draws inspiration from others and the outside world. So this current time of feeling stuck at home without the interactions of human souls has been difficult for me to continue to feel inspired.

That’s why creating this little board of my dreams and goals has been something that has kept me going. Because one step forward (no matter how big or small) I know is getting me closer to bring this 2D inspo board into a reality.

These are goals that are not going to happen overnight. Heck, a lot of them are not going to happen in the next year. But that’s the drive that is going to keep me going.

This may be my journey, but I also truly want to know yours. Because how freakin amazing would it be if we supported + helped one another get to these life moments and life changing goals!! SO!

Day I’ve lost track of Quarantine.

Really missing tearing up the dance floor with my dance partner (Hi, yes this is Kaitlyn!). Of course, we keep it professional throughout the day. But once, “Don’t Stop Believing” comes on, you best believe Kaela and I are there celebrating alongside our couples + guests on the dance floor.

Once all the toasts are given, food is eaten, cake is cut and first moments are danced, we finally feel like we can breath and enjoy the night! With months and months and even over a year of planning, it’s a celebration for us too!! So don’t worry if you see us grabbing the bride’s grandpa or the groom’s niece, we’re just helping get the party started.

And BONUS, in case you didn’t know: Kaela is probably one of the best hype woman I’ve EVER seenin my life!

quarantine will N O T get the best of me.

struggle is real. like seriously real. my insecurities are in full force and getting the best of me. avoidance is at a high. communication with others raises serious anxiety. the discipline i worked so hard to create is quickly disappearing. the unknown of the world is taking over emotionally.

it’s been completely okay to feel this way. i won’t apologize or feel bad for how i feel and the struggles i’ve been facing.

but this s**t ain’t gonna fly no more. today is MY DAY that i restart. will it happen overnight? NOPE. will there be much trial + error? absolutely. will i need to ask for help and support from others? AB-F**Kin-LUTELY. will i still struggle within myself? unfortunately yes. but if i don’t start now, then when will i? even it’s a baby step it’s moving forward and i’ll take every inch in the positive direction as a serious win.

time to take lead in my own life and truly start living, even in this craziness of a world. i am capable + i deserve it.

2.10.20: A week ago today, the biggest blessing was given to us.

For all of you who reached out, you were absolutely right. Becoming an aunt is one of the most amazing things!!! I’ve never ever been so in love with something so small. And I’ve never been so proud of watching my brother transform into a dad. We still can’t believe he has a baby (swipe to see), but man is our family on cloud 9.

God is good and tequila is great and when you mix the two you get a beautiful baby boy!! Seriously though, praise Him for this incredible gift.

Aunt is my new favorite name. Finn Fink, I am in love with you baby boy.

“Give your heart to the world and the world will give it right back.”

learning the power of self love is one of the most invigorating feelings. the feeling of putting yourself first. the feeling of no matter how hard the day may be you have you continue to find the joy. the feeling of no matter how how much you may doubt yourself, you know you are capable. the feeling of waking up and taking on this beautiful life that we only have one chance to live.

those are the feelings of self love. i don’t know why it took me so long to understand that putting my self first isn’t selfish, it’s self care. this is the power of growth. this is what living is. and this helps you grow into the person God created you to be.

feeling very overwhelmed of joy but mostly grounded of humbleness for finally be able to wake up every day with this mindset.

walking (actually running) into the second week of the new year like... OMG GUYS.

anybody else feel like their tank is filled back up and you have so much excitement and energy you may burst!! YEP. that’s me. i know it’s only been a week (well technically 5 days) but i have been truly thriving. this is the happiest, most genuiely excited and feeling grounded into my authentic true self i’ve EVER been!

so what are you waiting for: run with me into this year! whatever your running for, i don’t care, but let’s do it together and just simply C R U S H. I T.
