Meet Jewelweed!!!

She is perfect for the up & coming hunting season!!! I am not highly allergic to poison ivy, so I tend to be careless when I’m out in the woods. Well, it finally caught up to me! Inside this beautiful plant is a soothing & cooling natural remedy for poison ivy, bug bites & minor skin rashes like . The compound inside helps counteract the urushoil (the oil in the poison ivy that causes itching), I’m off to my backyard pharmacy this morning to harvest some, immediately use it on my arm for relief and also preserve it to use it in the future!

Take note when you find Jewelweed! Mother Nature is sometimes a bitch!!! Because of Jewelweed & poison ivy’s symbiotic relationship, they will often grow together!!!
