September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month AND its also Lymphoma Awareness Month.

September 3rd was James' remission anniversary! 4 years Cancer free. I am so thankful for my babies life. I am so blessed that God chose to leave him here with me a little while longer. I get to watch him learn and grow and become the best young man. He just got his permit . He serves the Lord. He makes good grades and gives it his all in athletics.

My baby was diagnosed with Large diffused B - cell Lymphoma at the age of 10 and fought a long hard battle and with God WON. He turned 11 September 2nd 2021 and went into remission September 3rd 2021. He has faced many other health battles before and after that and still does but with God by his side ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!

THANK YOU JESUS FOR MY SONS LIFE AND HIS BROTHER AND SISTERS LIFE. I am sooooo grateful!

Well September 3rd will be FOUR YEARS REMISSION! We are so excited for this anniversary to come up! Cannot be anymore proud of this accomplishment for my baby. Next appointment in 6 months! 🥰😍!!! Appointment today went fantastic! Don't forget to go vote for him to be athlete of the year!

James is in the running for Athlete of the year! He made it past the first two rounds and is in the top 20! Could yall help him be in the top 15 of his grouo for the next round . He is currently in 4th! Everyone can cast one free vote everyday to help him out!! Thank you! PS! WE DO HAVE A CHECKUP ON Monday so I will be posting an update soon!

I cant believe I missed it! June 1st was National Cancer survivors Day! I just want to shout out my warrior and my hero! He fought hard and won! We are soooo close to 4 years of remission. Doctor appointment for recheck coming soon! 🥰😍 So thankful for his life!!

Figured I would update on our little life. Lil' James isn't so little anymore. Its been 4vyeats since his diagnosis at 10 years old. Now 14 years old and just finished his freshman year of high-school strong. He is a good kid and still cancer free. He has the best friends, the best teachers in school, and loves all things sports. He serves the Lord on praise team at church. And for that we are thankful. We are so thankful he is healthy. We will always deal with after affects of chemo and what not but that's ok . He is alive and healthy. Praise the lord. We should have another appointment in a few months as a check up. 💚💚💚

Check up today with Dr . Cox! Everything is stable . All blood work looks good . Now if we can get this skin under control we will be doing good. So thankful my boy is STILL IN REMISSION ! September will be year 4! 😍🥰😍

Been a minute but UPDATE!! He had a check up today!! Bloodwork looked fantastic!! He started his freshmen year today. 13 years old and 3 years into remission! He still loves baseball and has started playing football and archery starts soon! Still cancer free and sooooo thankful! We are so thankful to be apart of and so thankful to still be !! Great first day back and school and a wonderful appointment ! Oh AND WE DONT HAVE TO GO BACK FOR 6 WHOLE MONTHS!!!! we were going every three. 🥰🥰🥰

UPDATE: Blood work looks good. Nothing feels abnormal. Still waiting on ultrasound results. She changed the word tumor to promenate benign lymphnodes. They aren't tumors. We will hopefully have ultrasound results by this afternoon. So far so good!

Will update again after we get ultrasound results!

In less than 12 hrs we have an important doctors appointment. If you haven't heard we felt a lump on James neck in March and we discovered that he has multiple tumors in his neck. For a little over 2 years he has been in remission. The scans in March showed the tumors were not cancerous but that does not mean they will stay that way. These past 2 months have felt like an eternity. We have more questions than answers at the point. We are hoping to receive more clear answers tomorrow.
I have watched God give peace when peace wasn't to be found. I have watched God give strength when we were completely exhausted. I have watched God heal my son. I know God can and He will do it again. I would be lying if I did not say we are anxious, worried, scared, and a little stressed in the Howell household. I am thankful for a praying church and praying friends. I am once again asking for prayers for James and our family. The God Who walks beside us has already gone before us. Thank you all for the prayers and support. .

UPDATE: So the ultrasound sound is showing multiple lyphnodes that are being considered as benign tumors as of right now. They are not showing characteristics for cancer at this moment. We have to watch them. We go back in 2 months on May 6 for a recheck of an ultrasound to see if they have grown or changed any. We are thankful they are benign but we can't lie and say we aren't terrified to say that some are coming back and now on both sides of the neck. Please pray hard with us that they will NOT grow and stay benign! WE KNOW GOD CAN DO IT!!
