I wonder if the commercials that we see are revealing to us something more than just the product they want us to buy. What if some commercials are setting us up to buy products that will then put us in a health situation where we should "ask our doctor about...." ?https://precisionfunctionalmedicine.com

🍁 As we navigate through life's challenges, it's easy to become caught up in negative emotions—fear, discouragement, and self-pity often cloud our perspective. Yet, did you know that the antidote is a simple change of mindset? This Thanksgiving, let's pivot towards a practice that can transform our well-being: thankfulness.

At Precision Functional Medicine, we believe that health is not merely the absence of disease but something that encompasses all aspects of our being. Embracing thankfulness propels us out of negativity and into a state ripe for healing. It's more than just feeling grateful; it’s an active appreciation for what we have and the journey we’re on—even amidst trials.

This holiday season, let’s commit to acknowledging our blessings big and small. Whether it's the support of loved ones or the progress made in personal health goals, every aspect of gratitude counts towards nurturing our overall health.

Let thankfulness be your first step toward a healthier you. When we count our blessings, we not only enrich our mental state but also set the stage for physical healing and well-being.

Happy Thanksgiving from Precision Functional Medicine

Over 70% of food purchased in grocery stores is moderately or highly processed. 60% of US adults have at least one chronic disease.
These 2 stats are definitely correlated.
If you want to be among those without a chronic illness, you've got to eliminate processed foods. It's not always easy, but being aware of what you're putting into your body is the first step.

Physician burnout is a serious problem - both for physicians as well as patients. Most doctors do their best to hide their physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion from demands of the job, but eventually, it catches up and the quality of care goes down, as does their own health. A huge advantage to being an independent physician is that my patients know that I am 100% present for every interaction.

People are becoming more interested in what their biomarkers reveal about their health & risk for future disease. But when they ask their doctors about more comprehensive testing, they're often dismissed. As an independent doc, I love the freedom I have to discuss advanced testing options, order those tests, and then thoroughly review them with my patients. If you're data-driven, you need a doc who's outside the system.

Food manufacturers add sugar to everything! As a result, many of us are unknowingly damaging our bodies with these high-sugar food products. Pay attention to labels, and cut out the foods with added sugar. It'll make a huge difference in your health!
