Yesterday, the students at Byron Heritage Church Preschool had a day of fun and fellowship playing games, navigating an obstacle course, and bouncing and sliding on our inflatable play equipment. After they were done enjoying all of the plaY stations, we retreated inside (because it was HOT) and enjoyed a picnic lunch. I think everyone went home happy and exhausted from a morning of FUN! I will post pictures by class (because I took too many for one post) starting with Ms. Natyeli's class.

Ms. Carol visited Byron Heritage Church Preschool and showed the children how to create beautiful sunflower pictures. 🌻 Each class made sunflowers in their own unique ways. Ms Catherine's class made theirs using paint. Ms. Lacie's class made their sunflowers by arranging strips of colored paper. Ms. Natyeli's class made the sunflowers by gluing paper cutouts together. Thank you Ms. Carol for helping our kiddos create beautiful art projects in different and creative ways!

On Thursday, Byron Heritage Church Preschool was overrun with the cutest band of pirates! All week they have done pirate crafts, read pirate books, and went on a pirate treasure hunt as a culminating event. The kiddos had to search the building for clues as to where a treasure chest was hidden. Our AMAZING Preschool teachers made celebrating pirates SO MUCH FUN! I apologize in advance for cuteness/picture overload, but I just couldn't help myself!

On Thursday, Mr. Doug (our science guy) visited Byron Heritage church Preschool and showed the children how to get a boiled egg into and out of a bottle using air pressure. After that, he let the kiddos help him make clouds in a bottle by shaking bottles partially filled with water and disturbing the air inside. Then he put a burning match in and capped the bottle. Once the bottle was sealed, the children squeezed it and the smoke from the match produced a cloud inside. The children were amazed and entertained by these science experiments. Thank you Mr. Doug for showing the children that science can be as amazing as magic!

The children at Byron Heritage Church Preschool celebrated the end of summer by having a splashy good time on Water Play day! They dove down our inflatable waterslide, splashed around in small pools, and explored how objects float and water flows at our water table. The weather was great for outside play and I think all the kiddos went home tired from a morning of fun and excitement!

On Tuesday, Ms. Florine and Ms. Shirley from the Byron Senior Center visited Byron Heritage Church Preschool. They showed Ms Catherine's class how to make drums out of large cans and plastic buckets. The children colored a design on paper and (with help)wrapped it around the sides of their drums adding a personal touch to their project.When they were finished, Ms Shirley handed each a drumstick and lead them in a rhythmic version of "This is the Day that the Lord has made! We SO enjoyed our special visitors thank them for showing us this fun activity.
