Day 7 with my New Care Client ❣️❣️

As the morning sun peeked through the curtains, I greeted my dear care client with a warm smile, ready for another day of companionship and care. Today, we embarked on our familiar routine, starting with a soothing cup of tea and some light conversation to ease into the day.

After breakfast, we settled into our favorite spot, where the sunlight streamed in through the window, casting a gentle glow upon us. With tender care, I began to gently comb through her soft gray hair, untangling any knots with patience and precision.

As I worked my fingers through her hair, I couldn't help but marvel at its natural beauty, each strand a testament to a life well-lived and a story worth telling. Together, we reminisced about days gone by, sharing memories of laughter and love that filled the room with warmth and joy.

With each braid, we wove together the threads of our friendship, creating a tapestry of love and understanding that bound us together in a bond that was unbreakable. As the morning turned into afternoon, we lost track of time, lost in the rhythm of our shared moments of care and connection.

And as the final braid fell into place, I stepped back to admire our handiwork, a masterpiece of love and devotion that spoke volumes without uttering a single word. In that moment, amidst the quiet comfort of our shared space, I knew that this was more than just a typical day—it was a precious gift, a reminder of the beauty that exists in the simple moments of life spent in the company of those we hold dear.

Dear Entrepreneurs,

Every entrepreneur has a story behind their mission and what inspires them to venture into that line of business. My social enterprise is a ministry, an avenue to reach out to underrepresented and underserved persons in my community.

Hold on a sec, you might think that I do not like money, but you're wrong because I do after all money answers all things, it gives power to kings and gets them more friends too.

At times I should set a two-way profit model in my DomesticHires/Caregiving Services, a model where job seekers will have to pay for getting them a job, and by that, I mean deducting their salary once they get the offer and the other model, the employer also pays for my services. But then each time I wanna set up this model, my spirit keeps fighting with me.

Yunno in a country like ours, having this mindset wouldn't get you anywhere in terms of sustainability. Still, then I have to strategize more models to not just get profits but give out quality, and value and dish out more sustainable impacts by getting you an APP that is already in progress.

I feel like I am serving God through this initiative because most of the time, I see myself using my personal earnings from my writing jobs to operate this initiative and I am always certain that what goes around will surely come around in good measures, pressed down, shaken together unto my bosom.

It makes me fulfilled to know that my little efforts to serve humanity are yielding positive results and putting food on the table for every underrepresented person who comes across this initiative.
Here's one out of over 1500 reached since our conception in 2021

I want you to keep doing what you're doing to serve humanity be it business or personal and trust me, you'll reap bountifully in due season.

Good morning and a beautiful day ahead!

Do It Or Face The Consequence!

Dear Parents, it is your responsibility to train your kids in the way they should go. Gone are those days when we used to believe that a child's character education is only the parent's responsibility but now your child's teachers, your nannies, and domestic workers play a very crucial role in your kid's character molding.

I walked into this beautiful and well-decorated restaurant in the city of Uyo during the Christmas holiday. One thing that attracted me to that place was the beautiful state-of-the-art decors and green lounge and the fact that I could actually plug my PC while waiting for my order. So I walked in and sat down.

I went through their menu and asked for my favorite plate of "Afang" but then most of the tables were occupied and the only socket I could find was beside a table on which a chubby and dark young boy of about 6 years old sat.

Then with a smile on my face, I asked him politely to excuse me to join him so I could plug my PC as well. I was so nice and friendly but to my greatest shock and surprise, he said "No' I am watching a movie on my iPad. Oh wow, I was surprised tho so I decided to act along.

In my mind, I said nah this kind pikin' I deh like teach a lesson to🤣😊you think say I don come dis far, see me see socket weh I wan plug my laptop use, you come deh do petty for me.

I told him well I'm so sorry but I have to move the table closer to the socket, don't worry I can move you closer so you can continue your movie!.. as I expected, he still said no. So I didn't wait for him to say it the third time, I moved him and the table together close to the socket, sat down, plugged my PC, and ordered a chilled drink and chicken as an appetizer🤣, it's not easy to win a battle with a kid.

And then he said to me, "But I do not have anything to drink too' and I said to him " OKAY??? So what do you care for and he said I want coke". So I asked the kitchen assistant to please serve him a bottle of coke and add it to my bills.

It took long for the drink to be served so he started yelling at the assistant to bring his drink and in his words, he said "What's everyone doing nau, bring my drink nau haba somebody get me my frink nau🤣🤣🤣I couldn't help but to laugh within myself.

So the drink was served finally but he didn't even say thank you till he left with his mum who was inside the kitchen discussing with the manager. I understood perfectly that that's how children behave sometimes so I wasn't offended in any way.

But then something came to my mind, I mean if this boy is allowed to grow up with such a nasty attitude, it will be worse. A bad attitude of not being nice to people even to a stranger just me, an attitude of not saying thank you after receiving an offer, an attitude of asking for stuff from strangers, an attitude of yelling at others if his needs are not met on time, and much more.

Parents, when I say bring money lemme train your domestic workers and caregivers before sending them to you, you'll be thinking that I just want to chop your money and that I'll become a billionaire🤣🤣🤣, did you see that?

Maybe you do not have the time to look at what your kids are doing and the attitude they've developed over time, trust me the closest persons to your kids are your houseworkers and teachers in school.

So why not take the pain off your ass and save yourself the disaster that will befall you later if your kids are not well groomed by sending your domestic staff and kids to our training center at 59 Edet Akpan Avenue uyo to be trained on character education by well seasoned and experienced tutors.

Dear Entrepreneurs, to launch out into the deep, you must take a risk and to take a risk, you must kill your fears.

When I started my DomesticHires/Caregiving Services, I got a lot of discouragements and negative feedback from people. Some said that I was going into something very risky and could put me behind bars, others said and I quote " Abigail please avoid linking people up for domestic jobs because you do not know who the person is and the type of person the employer is and even if you do, it is very risky as to if the security of both the worker and the employer is guaranteed.

Well as a human, I was discouraged and I started having a second thoughts about letting go and focusing on my studies as an Accountant so I could get a job at the multinational and live my life.

All through those times, I'll lock myself up thinking about so many things and reading many big books on self-discovery, entrepreneurship, personal development, and so on.

And on such occasion, I came across a book from my favorite author titled " In Pursuit of Purpose by Myles Munroe" the founder of the Bahamas Faith Ministry!

In one of the chapters, I came across a line that said ' God does not give you a vision without provisions" meaning that everything you need to be successful in your vision is available and that before you conceived that vision in your mind, the source of vision which is God who imparted that vision in you already made provisions for you to succeed..

So after weeks of shutting down my work and almost letting go, I sprang into action again as every bit of that line kept ringing in my mind.

If ICAN, You CAN!

So for the past 2 years in active operations, I have never been put behind bars nor recorded any security issues concerning a worker or a client(employer)

Today, I have not regretted taking that decision because I have found out that therein laid my purpose to which I was created to serve humanity and be served, not to chase money but to be chased by money and be fulfilled while enjoying what I do!

As a testament to the fact that God is the source of every purpose and the author of every vision and that He had provided everything you'll need to succeed before imparting you a vision, I am urging you to let yourself in to discover who you truly are, what you are really passionate about and to what purpose you were created by linking up with source(God)

And when you know your source(God), you'll be strong, you'll take risks that no other person will ever wanna take and you'll do exploits in it!

But then, you will never launch out into the deep(do more exploits) if you do not kill your "FEARS"
