Mocking or looking down upon individuals who are overweight, or treating those with less-than-ideal body shapes with a biased perspective, is considered discriminatory. As long as the weight is not on their own bodies, people are generally unwilling to risk being politically incorrect by advising others to lose weight. Regardless of height, weight, beauty, or ugliness, there will always be someone saying, "You are beautiful." Even when you express a desire to lose weight, there will be someone telling you that you don't need to, and that you should just be yourself. However, this is actually a concerning phenomenon. It's important to understand the potential impacts that obesity can have on your body:
It can cause abnormalities in blood pressure, blood lipids, and blood sugar.
The probability of developing cerebrovascular diseases increases because the likelihood of individuals with obesity having three high risk factors (high blood pressure, high blood lipids, and high blood sugar) is elevated. This population is prone to atherosclerosis in the cerebral arteries, leading to the occurrence of symptoms related to cerebral thrombosis.
The likelihood of developing heart disease also increases. After gaining weight, the heart's workload increases, resulting in a much higher probability of obese individuals experiencing angina compared to the normal population.
The occurrence of fatty liver disease is common in the obese population.
The probability of developing bone and joint diseases also increases due to obesity, including diabetes-related bone and joint diseases, osteoarthritis, and gout-related bone and joint diseases.
The probability of developing cancer also increases. Studies suggest that obese women have an increased likelihood of developing endometrial and breast cancer, while obese men are more susceptible to prostate cancer. Additionally, the probability of colorectal cancer in the obese population is higher than in the normal population.
The impact of obesity on the human body goes far beyond these points. Therefore, for the sake of oneself and one's family, it is advisable to consider weight loss sooner rather than later.

New York City is set to become the largest American city to ban discrimination based on a person's weight.On Thursday, New York City Council approved a bill that adds a person's weight to the list of characteristics that are protected from discrimination, along with race,gender, age, religion and sexual orientation.The law would prohibit employers and businesses from discriminating in employment, housing and access to public accommodations.
The mayor has not committed to signing the bill,but has been supportive."We should never treat people differently because of their weight,"Mr.Adams said at a news conference last month.
The bill, which was approved by 44 of the City Council's 51 members, is part of a growing national campaign to address weight discrimination, with other states considering similar measures.
Some business leaders and Republicans had expressed concerns about the bill, including Kathryn S.Wylde who said that it would be yet another onerous mandate for companies and that enforcement would ultimately be left to the courts, placing a burden on employers, regulators and the judicial system.The bill's sponsor, Stake Jonathan,however, said he hoped the law would raise awareness about treating heavier people with respect. He said he was confident that the mayor would sign the bill because his office helped negotiate the details with him.
The city has been a center for fat activism since at least the 1960s, when a crowd of 500 people held a"fat in"at Central Park. Carrying banners that said "Fat Power,"the group raised concerns about discrimination that advocates said have persisted for decades.
"Anti-fatness doesn't just break our hearts —it drains our wallets,steals our opportunities, and limits our lives," Tigress Osborn said earlier this year at a City Council hearing on the bill.
The bill also prohibits discrimination based on height, and a separate bill would ban discrimination against people with tattoos. It creates exemptions for certain circumstances, including when a person's height or weight could hamper carrying out the essential skills of a job. Some jobs, as police officers and firefighters,for example, have physical requirements such as a timed run or climbing over a six-foot barrier.
Under the bill, complaints about weight discrimination would be investigated by the city's Commission on Human Rights.
Some workers have unsuccessfully filed lawsuits over weight discrimination in the past, including a bus driver in New Jersey who lost his job after failing a medical exam and a New York City firefighter who was told to lose 71 pounds in 30 days.

Why are there so many super fat people in America?
First main reason:
