As wildfires impact air quality across our region, your health and safety remain our top priority. Follow these CDC-recommended precautions to reduce exposure to harmful smoke:

✅ Stay Indoors: Keep windows and doors closed. Use a high-efficiency air purifier or run your HVAC system on recirculate.
😷 Use Proper Masks if Outside: N95 respirators offer the best protection—cloth masks do not filter out smoke particles.
🚫 Limit Outdoor Activities: Avoid strenuous tasks or exercise outside when air quality is poor.
📱 Monitor Air Quality: Check local air quality reports regularly via AirNow.gov or your weather app.
🚗 Travel Smart: If you must drive, keep windows closed and set your car’s ventilation to recirculate.
🐾 Don’t Forget Pets: Smoke affects them too—keep animals indoors as much as possible.

If you experience symptoms such as difficulty breathing, chest pain, or severe coughing, seek medical care promptly.
