I'm Rachel and I'm excited to help you learn to love and appreciate your body. Many people want to feel good about themselves and are tired of allowing societal stress around weight and body-image keep them from being happy. Health and wellness are a personal matter but living life fully, no matter your size, is the key to overall wellness and happiness. The truth is: learning how to love your bod

y can feel overwhelming and confusing - but it doesn't have to be! I created More to Love (MTL) in 2013 as an opportunity for you to learn and apply body acceptance to your own life, no matter your size. Blending lessons from my own experience overcoming poor body image coupled with the proven tools I learned through my life coach and yoga training, my approach to health and happiness is designed to help you, love, accept and appreciate your body a little bit more each day. No diets, no insane workouts, no tricks, no shaming yourself into being "better." MTL helps you apply solid principles of body acceptance that work for your unique body and life. Health and wellness are spectrums and the only body you've got to focus on is your own. MTL is here to help you figure those pieces out in an inspiring, honest and deeply rewarding way. I invite you to explore my website, read the blog, check out a yoga class at my studio just outside Boston in Somerville, MA, take my online course, and many more exciting opportunities along the way. I'm committed to creating a community which helps women like you practice and transform your relationship with your own body. More to Lovingly Yours,

Rachel

Our next class is Saturday April 11 Foundry, Cambridge. We’ll continue with our alignment focus with a session devoted to lengthening & elongating.

A central anchor in the philosophy that shapes More to Love is this: your body does not lie.

Every sensation is information.
Every ache tells a story.
Every satisfying stretch offers relief.

Our minds work hard to filter, organize, and make sense of it all. It’s demanding to be a thoughtful human in 2026. And our bodies (individually and collectively) are carrying stress layered with uncertainty, over and over again.

It’s easy to get locked into a loop: exhaustion → pushing through → more discomfort. This is where we interrupt the pattern.

I want to help you get clear on what your body is telling you—and how to respond in a way that restores balance.

Decompression is the release of internal pressure by restoring space, support, and circulation within the body.

In this practice, we’ll move through a gentle, intentional flow to create length and space—especially through the back of the body and hamstrings.

When the spine has space, we feel taller, steadier and more open through the heart.

Shoulders, often held high from overwhelm, begin to drop — relieving the neck and head.

Tension stored in the hips softens and walking feels easier, legs lighter.

When you learn how to decompress, you begin to shift out of stress mode and into grounded, present awareness.

I’d love to support you in finding more ease on your mat.

This week in class - Saturday April 4 Foundry, Cambridge - we’re exploring alignment.

Not as perfection. Not as rigid lines or “getting it right.”

But as a relationship..between your body, your breath, and the quiet embodied knowing that lives inside you.

Alignment is subtle…but essential. How you stand and hold your posture. It’s the way your weight shifts from poses to pose. It’s the moment you feel into your body lifting — not because you forced it, but because you supported it. It’s the difference between holding yourself up… and being held.

We’ll start to play more with balance too…safely and playfully. You don’t need a “perfect pose” to be aligned. You just need a willingness to listen, adjust, and come back to your center.

That’s the practice…taking it to the next level.

I’d love to have you there with us.

Last More to Love Yoga class of 2025 coming up… we’ll be practicing yoga with JOY as our guide.

I didn’t want some trite theme, but also, we’re desperately needing the feeling of JOY in our lives.

It’s easy for this human need to fall aside when life gets heavier and heavier — almost like it’s wrong to find joy within darkness.

But we need to feel it, need to hold it, need to share it. It’s human and essential for us to continue.

Joy is a birthright. Joy is yours — all alone; it doesn’t require anyone else. It’s magnified when shared.

So for our last session of the year, we’ll take time to rekindle and appreciate the tiny joys — of moving without worry; of a deep breath that feels like home; a felt sense that, in this moment, JOY in simplicity is enough.

Lovely...

After teaching hundreds of yoga classes over the years, I’ve noticed a common assumption: We greatly overestimate how flexible we think we need to be.

Mainstream yoga often portrays flexibility in a way that’s intimidating (even harmful) for those of us who aren’t natural rubber bands.

Yes, flexibility is important for your health. Your muscles, joints, ligaments, even your skin — they all thrive when they can move with ease. But here’s the truth: you don’t need to overdo it to feel the benefits.

Pain-free, effortless movement is a worthy goal — but it’s not always the starting point. Flexibility isn’t just a physical state; it’s also a mindset. How you treat your body shapes how it treats you in return.

In this class, I’ll share my favorite techniques and small shifts that can help you build flexibility safely — and feel more freedom, ease, and confidence in your body.

Join me to stretch without the stress 💛.

If you’ve taken any yoga class with me, you’ve likely heard my phrase: With all effort, make room for ease.

As we head into the active holiday season, it’ll be valuable to pace your energy and self-care needs.

Our next session (Saturday, November 23 ) we’ll explore the width of our practice by revving-up our energy, then taming it back down to find stillness again.

Health is a balancing act between the actions our body does and the requirement of rest to recharge. Our yoga mat becomes a little incubator to practice this “effort // ease” spectrum. It’s a very useful approach to help you get into the habit of balancing your efforts in yoga with a moment of rest and integration.

Our class will be a flow-style — meaning, a steady and supportive pace that makes plenty of room for effort and ease — so you can loosen tight muscles and free mental-energy, while enjoying the pause and rest which follows.

Hello Autumnal Lovely's!

Join me and other More to Love Yoga's members this Saturday, September 21 at 10:00AM at Cambridge Foundry.

Despite our very tech-reliant lives, our bodies still flow with the natural pulse of the seasons. Autumn is the time to shift gears towards rest and ease.

We savor our efforts through the return on our Harvests. Our bodies begin to desire coziness.

Ripe with personal reflection, we have space to ask: what have I cultivated this year? What self-care do I need to be more mindful of before winter arrives?

Let’s hold a class that nurtures this turning inward and honors the sweet pause between summers’ end and winters dormancy.

We’ll reflect on our personal wellbeing through yogic movements that encourage letting go and releasing tension.

I got a bad hip injury my junior year of highschool, during a varsity soccer game 😓

I couldn’t play my senior year because my hip and back was so messed up and running became impossible without pain.

For years I suffered with it and got into a bad habit of working out through the pain of spasms, tightness, imbalances, and eventually formed sciatica.

It wasn’t until I found yoga and practiced safely that my back and hips began to calm down. And eventually rebalance.

All my yoga classes are safe for hips and backs, but on Saturday’s, we’re going to be extra mindful of how to safely bend and sink deeply into hips.

When we release lower back and hip muscles, it’s common to feel a wave of relief and sometimes emotions swell. It’s all part of this beautiful practice,

Is this the HARDEST part of body-love?

Well...probably at first...mmhmm...was for me....but Lovely, I have A LOT of knowledge to share with you:

If you are in the Boston-area, I'm inviting you to a special event - HOW TO TALK WITH YOUR BODY: A Masterclass in yoga, self-awareness + knowledge on September 14. https://www.moretoloveyoga.com/masterclass1

For the past 10 years, I have been focused on teaching yoga to those of us living in larger bodies. Yes, it's possible to speak and listen to your body - buuuuuuut it's not always so easy to get started.

Admittedly, I am a GEEK when it comes to this topic....years of personal study + professional training/experience with a dash of "luck"....I've now taught over 3,500 in-person students the joy of More to Love Yoga.

This MASTERCLASS is a unique space to learn these skills hands-on, with myself + other people committed to loving their body.

Take a look through the page I wrote + feel free to ask questions here too.

In this experiential Masterclass, participants will be guided through proven ways to develop a richer connection with one's own body landscape.
