Thanks to Pack 200, Troop and Pack 428, and Troop 654 who have already held their Scouting for Food drive to help their local communities. When is your unit’s drive and if it has happened, how did you do? Remember, Roundtable Commissioner Chris Bernier has patches for every Cub and Scout who takes part in this effort.

🌟🥫 Join Us for the Annual Scouting for Food Drive! 🥫🌟

Mark your calendars for Sunday, November 17th, 2024, from 1 PM to 3 PM at the First Congregational Church of Camden (55 Elm St).

Get ready for an afternoon of giving back! 🌍✨ We invite you to bring non-perishable foods (please make sure they aren't expired!) and clean, gently used winter clothes to help those in need. Our enthusiastic scouts will be there to receive and sort your donations!

We thank you in advance for your generosity and for helping to teach our scouts about giving back to the community. Let’s make a difference together and spread some kindness this season. We can’t wait to see you there! ❤️👦👧

Hey, Pack 200! 🐾

This weekend, it’s time to **"Fall Back"** ⏰ — don’t forget to set your clocks back an hour on Saturday night! It's a great time to remember the **Cub Scout motto: Be Prepared**.

As you’re adjusting your clocks, make it a family activity to also:
- **Check your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors**. Change the batteries and do a quick test.
- **Check expiration dates** on fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and any emergency supplies** to make sure everything is ready if needed.

Staying safe and prepared at home is just as important as it is at our meetings! 🍂

👻 **Cub Scout Pack 200’s Tips for a *Spooktacularly* Safe Halloween!** 🎃

Halloween is almost here, and Pack 200 has some *be-witching* tips to help keep our scouts and trick-or-treaters safe on their candy quests!

🕸️ **Buddy Up, Scouts!** The *number one* trick-or-treat rule: never go alone! Bring a buddy or your favorite adult goblin (mom or dad) to make it twice as fun! 👻

🎃 **Light the Way:** Add glow sticks, flashlights, or reflective tape to your costume so cars can see you! Shine bright like a *ghoulish ghost* in the night! 💡👀
🕷️ **Stay on the Haunted Paths** – Avoid cutting through dark yards or spooky shortcuts. Stick to the sidewalks, so you don’t get tangled in a cobweb of trouble! 🏚️

🍬 **Inspect the Loot!** Before devouring any delicious treats, let an adult do a quick check for safety. The tastiest treats are *safe treats*! 🍭🍫

🦇 **Costume Check!** Make sure costumes fit right—no tripping over long robes or flowing capes! *Super Scouts* need to move with ease!

🎉 **What a Fantastic Start to the Scouting Season with Pack 200!** 🎉

We hit the ground running (or hiking, actually) with two breathtaking outings! 🌄 Our first hike led us to the summit of Beech Hill, rewarding us with incredible 360° views. Then, we ventured to Camden Snow Bowl, where we soaked in the vibrant autumn colors and mountain scenery – pure New England magic! 🍁🍂

But the fun didn't stop there! To kick off the spooky season, we hosted a Trunk or Treat and a pumpkin carving showdown. 🎃👻 Huge shoutout to our creative scouts and congrats to the winners in categories for Spookiest, Most Creative, Scoutiest, and Funniest pumpkins! Every pumpkin was a masterpiece, and we couldn't be prouder of our Pack 200 crew! 👏🧡

Get ready for an out-of-this-world experience! 🚀 On Monday, April 8th, something truly magical is happening in the sky – a SOLAR ECLIPSE! 🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑

What's a solar eclipse, you ask? It's when the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth, casting a shadow on our planet and blocking out the Sun's light – creating an awe-inspiring sight! 🌞🌑✨

Here are some important tips to enjoy this celestial event safely:

NEVER look directly at the Sun without proper eye protection. Sunglasses won't cut it! Use special solar viewing glasses or make a DIY pinhole projector to safely observe the eclipse. 🕶️🌞👀

🚗🏁 Cub Scout Pack 200 held our Pinewood Derby on March 09, 2024. A much anticipated part of the Scouting year.
The Pinewood Derby tradition, dates back to 1953 thanks to the creative mind of Donald Murphy and continues to inspire young minds and bring families together! 🎉 With 19 eager participants our derby day was nothing short of spectacular. 📸 From sleek designs to roaring cheers, every race echoed Murphy's vision: "I wanted to devise a wholesome constructive activity that would foster a closer father-son relationship and promote craftsmanship and good sportsmanship through competition." 🌟 It's events like these that not only fuel friendly competition but also strengthen the bonds within our community. 🚀 Thanks to all who joined us for a day filled with fun, camaraderie, and unforgettable memories! 🏆

🎉🎂 Happy Birthday BSA! 🎉🎂

Did you know that on February 8th, 1910, the Boy Scouts of America was born followed in 1930, the first registered Cub Scout Packs came into the picture, kicking off 124 years of scouting adventure and camaraderie! With over 57 million Scouts spreading the Scout spirit across more than 200 different countries worldwide, it's safe to say that scouting is a global phenomenon!

On Sunday, February 11th, Cub Scout Pack 200 threw down for the BSA's big day! We gathered together for an unforgettable celebration filled with medieval marvels brought to life by History Live North East . From medieval weapons to epic armor displays, we were all enchanted by the wonders of the past! But the celebration didn't end with history lessons—no way!

Of course, no party is complete without some good eats! We enjoyed a traditional Potluck dinner and mouthwatering desserts that left everyone's taste buds singing with joy at our banquet. And let's not forget about the heart of the celebration—advancements galore for the members of our Pack, from our adorable Lions to our mighty Webelos! It was a day packed with fun and excitement that left smiles on every face.

Big shoutout to History Live North East for delivering an amazing performance that transported us through time! And let's not forget to tip our hats to all the incredible volunteers who make scouting possible for our kids. You're the real MVPs! And a special thank you to the First Congregational Church of Camden for hosting our celebration.

As Robert Baden-Powell, the visionary founder of scouting, once said, "The real way to gain happiness is to give it to others." In Scouts, we embody that spirit every day, spreading happiness and making the world a better place—one good deed at a time.
