During my time at CAMcare, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing what true community partnership looks like, and the impact of the Camden City Fire Department stands out in the most meaningful way—making them a well-deserved CAMcare Community Spotlight.

They show up for our community in moments that many of us could never imagine—running toward danger while others are running away, putting their lives on the line without hesitation. But what has left a lasting impression on me isn’t just their bravery in emergencies—it’s who they are beyond those moments.

Despite the weight they carry, especially in the face of recent tragedies and profound loss, they continue to lead with strength, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to the people they serve. They don’t allow hardship to harden them; instead, it deepens their humanity. They remain present, approachable, and deeply connected to this community—offering not just protection, but comfort, reassurance, and hope.
Their resilience is powerful. Their selflessness is inspiring. And their ability to continue showing up with heart, even when it’s hard, speaks volumes about the kind of people they are.

At CAMcare, we are truly grateful for their partnership and proud to recognize them as our Community Spotlight. They are more than first responders—they are pillars of this community.

CAMcare is proud to host the Mindful Miles 5K—a day dedicated to movement, healing, and community.

We’re honored to have Professional Football Player & South Jersey native, Alijah Clark CINC 💲, join us as our ambassador, helping us bring awareness to the importance of behavioral health both on and off the field.

Every step taken supports something bigger. Proceeds from this event will go directly toward expanding access to behavioral health services for the communities CAMcare serves—because care should never be out of reach, and no one should be left behind.
