Sensory motor skills are the foundation of all learning that will take place throughout life. These skills allow children to explore, play, and try more challenging things. If one sensory motor skill fails to develop properly, a child can struggle to continue learning at the same speed as other children their age.

We also did playdoh and found beads in the playdoh today.

Coloring and drawing can help toddlers and preschool age children develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and concentration. Coloring can also aide in learning about colors and shapes, and develop creativity and imagination.

Children benefit from structure and a predictable daily schedule because it helps them feel safe, secure, and in control of their environment.

Routines and consistent expectations can also help children develop skills like self-control, respect for others, and focus. It’s always been proven to show better behavior and less tantrums. These skills can help children enjoy being kids and are important in adulthood if learned successfully in childhood.

This is the schedule I follow, and even my own children have a similar schedule especially during summer.

Hi 👋🏼 I’m Erica

I’ve decided to get back to keeping a few kids in my home. I’m closest to New Madrid, East Prairie, and Sikeston areas.

I have years of experience. As I have been a mom for 19 years. I have 6 of my own, and a 1 year old Grandson.

I’m CPR, First aide, and BLS (basic life support) certified. I do have some early childhood development education. I have references 🩷

I’ll be offering Monday - Friday 6am-6pm with sibling discount, breakfast, lunch, and snacks. I’ve been a single mom for 4 years now, and it hasn’t always been easy so I’m understanding, reasonable, and flexible.

I can also do overnight with request.

I offer education and sensory play. I encourage good behavior and manners. I work with parents to encourage potty training.
