The human body is wack, man.
All of these pictures are me, some within a couple of weeks and others over a year. The point stays the same.
Human. Bodies. Change. Every. Single. Day.
There are so many factors that contribute to your weight fluctuations and self esteem around your body.
Stress, alcohol, chronic illnesses/autoimmune disorders, diet, movement, energy, mindset. Just some factors that change literally every single day you exist, so how can you expect your body to stay the same every single day you exist if everything that helps it thrive is changing too?
You canât. It wonât. It will never stay the same. Some days Iâm extra flexible. Like today for example. I rocked my balance practice this morning, had a kickass kickbox workout and the suns out.
I feel great. The first picture is me today. Feeling happy, sweaty, strong. But Iâm still bloated.
Sometimes I look at myself in the mirror and I donât understand what happened. I havenât gained a pound of fat. The scale hasnât moved up or down. Iâm still getting my exercises in, but there are other factors playing in my inflammation and full feeling belly that I canât control.
Swipe to the left, that was me only a couple of weeks ago. Full bloat. Getting asked the question âwhen are you due?â Would not have surprised me. The rest of me remained the same, but my belly continued to grow larger and more uncomfortable.
Again, change is inevitable sometimes.
Swipe again, that was me only one week before the bloat started.
Time can move quickly with very little change, or youâll lose all the weight you wanted in your goal time frame, or you may have days, or weeks, where an outside force plays a huge factor in your weight/self esteem.
The pictures before that, are more change. One from April this year, another from January and one from the start of my fitness journey last March.
I remind myself daily how far I have come and how I am exactly where I need to be. Iâm strong. Iâm determined. Iâm worthy.
Manifest only good intentions and remember that change is inevitable. Bodyâs fluctuate and that should just be a reminder of how strong our bodies really are to withstand all that life throws â¨
