Cane Hill Kite Festival

Cane Hill Kite Festival There will be a warming/hospitality tent. March 12, 2022 noon until the last kite comes down.
$1 kids, $2 adults, free to park and watch. Kites for sale $1-16.

Military and family free. Food on site by Friends of Prairie Grove Pound. Large hospitality tent. Many volunteers to help assemble and fly. Kite hospital. Raffle for large kites at 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00
In case of rain or snow there will probably not be a make-up festival
(recording on 824-8109 if the weather is iffy)
Location: Springfield Ranch, 14306 S. Hwy 45 (2.9 miles from Hwy 62/45 intersection)

The Wilber Rufus Foundation took over the catering duties this year and the proceeds benefited the Friends of Prairie Grove Pound. Thanks to donations by Texas Roadhouse, Magnolia House and ConSabor, they received even more dollars this year. FYI, the Friends of Prairie Grove Pound is run entirely by hard-working volunteers and does not have the high dollar financing like some city pounds in NW Arkansas; they depend on the generosity of supporters and events like this. Thank-you to everyone who contributed to the success this year. From the feedback we've received thus far, the new menu received 5 Meows and many Woof Woofs.

Every year we have to fill in the holes that the pesky armadillos make in the hay fields so it will be safe for flyers. After the 2:00 drawing we have a contest for kids only to guess how many holes we had to fill in. The winner gets to choose a kite.
