We love our community and volunteer our time for the Fire Department. There are times that it is hard, we cry, we hurt, but we do what we have been trained to do to help someone in need. It is not always easy to stop what we are doing when we get paged to a fire, wreck, lift assist or medical assist, but we do. Sometimes the whole department shows up and sometimes there is only one or two of us. I
t is not easy to spend hours in training after working a full day, or being away from our family at some of the most inconvenient times, but we do. There is no pay, little praise but we continue to volunteer our time for our community, our neighbors, friends, family and our county. The benefit of living in this area is the tightness of the community. We all have lives to live, but when it counts the support, love and prayers of our community are there when people need it most. We live in a great community and we are happy to volunteer our time. Some times after an emergency people of the community contact members of the fire department wanting to know what happened? We are not being rude when we don't share the details of the events. We are just following the rules of the department. Thank you all and I hope you never have an emergency that we have to respond to, but rest assured if you do we will be there and do all we can.
