Whitfield Wholistics:
It seems as if my life experiences mirror those of almost everyone who seeks my aide in their search for peace and inner healing. By having lived through many of the same things each of them has, I have gained valuable insight to what is needed during the healing process. In my life I have gone through trials and trauma that most people need professional help to deal with an
d I sought a different type of healing process. I began studying Reiki and Native American healing arts and ceremonies. I sought out practitioners of these methods and started my own healing from within. I have preferred natural remedies over traditional medicine for many years and use herbs, essential oils, and other methods to this day. HS4S believes that in order to heal, one must heal the entire person: body, mind, and soul using the resources given to us in nature and by our Creator. I have continued my studies and have expanded them to include chakra healing, crystal healing, color therapy, and have worked within a medicine wheel for spiritual guidance. I have learned to design medicine tools for personal use and use several different types of cards for guidance and instruction. I do not believe in using these cards to predict the future, but to lend aide in staying on the right path to a higher level of spirituality. Reiki energy healing was the first certified course in the alternative field that I completed. I was not satisfied with the first level, feeling there was more to be learned. I soon completed my second and third levels of training. Reiki is a Japanese word meaning “God’s light energy”. It involves laying on of hands in specific places to conduct the healing power of God into a person who needs treatment. A Reiki practitioner does not actually have the power to heal but uses the energy of the Creator to produce the desired results. Reiki works first on a physical plane, second on a mental level, and third, on the spiritual self. Reiki does not interfere with traditional medicine but enhances it. You do not need to believe in any specific religion for Reiki to work. No special equipment is needed, only a trained practitioner. Reiki is beneficial to every living thing it meets, and the process of healing brings with it a change in the whole person, body, mind and soul. Christouch is a version of Reiki, based on Scripture, following the teaching of Jesus in its purpose and application. Chakra healing focuses on the seven main energy centers of the human body. If one of these centers is not functioning properly, then the whole body suffers. A color represents each chakra, therefore that color can be used to restore balance to the affected area. Different techniques are used to cleanse a chakra, with color therapy being one of the easiest to apply. Opening the chakras in therapy produces healing throughout the entire psyche and the body. Crystal healing works in much the same way as color therapy, using gemstones of different types placed on the part of the body that need healing. Each stone has healing properties associated with it and can be placed on the body during therapy, under a bed during sleep, or worn as jewelry to absorb the energy. Card readings given by me would be of a spiritual nature and not for asking about the future events of one’s life, but whether a person is on the right path to enlightenment, and how to stay on that path, or what lessons need to be learned from their path. Walking a medicine wheel provides the same type of insight to your path. Each of the 36 points has a specific healing that goes along with its position on the wheel. Healing ceremonies done with a medicine wheel are immensely powerful and can bring about changes to the whole person, in addition to healing a physical ailment. All healing truly comes from our Creator, and not from the person handling the treatment or ceremony. The practitioner is only a conduit for the healing energies to flow from one source into another. I also believe that true healing begins within, with a sincere desire to become whole again, and the willingness to allow the changes to take place that are necessary for that healing. We are all born perfect in the eyes of our Creator, and in the Creator’s eyes we are still perfect, and that same Creator loves us as perfect beings. Opening our hearts and minds to alternative ways of healing is the first step to becoming whole. The second step is to act on our desire to be healed by searching out the right method. There are too many ways to list them all here and no one person could possibly master them all. It is within our own soul we find the right path.
