The WTAMU Tuba and Euphonium studio is instructed by Jeremy Lewis. Studio activities include: private lessons, tuba euphonium ensemble and Brass Seminar.

DCI 2023!
Congratulations to our studio buffs, current and incoming, who participated this season in their respective corps! They all went on to compete in the marching arts and to bring on the performance of a lifetime!

Summer begins to wrap up for our fellow buffs so acknowledge some important moments of the sunner!
Band/Orchestra Camp 2023 featuring Dr. Lewis working with high school tuba/euph ensemble and Mr. Eric Perez, band director at Canyon Jr. High working with the middle school tuba euph ensemble!
We also had the privilege of having Allen Vizzutti come to our band camp and perform for all of our students!
Camp was a huge success and we can't wait until next year!

We'd like to wish our two members a safe trip as they move into their respective corps this season!
Some DCI background info:
Jack Montgomery - returning for his second season with the Boston Crusaders, he was a part of their 2021 production, "Zoom." The corp returns to the field after a historic run placing second overall! Catch him and Boston Crusaders' 2023 production, "White Whale"!
Isaiah Nanez - First year in the activity, he will be marching with Spirit of Alanta. The corp returns from their hiatus to bring you their 2023 production, "Up, Down, and All Around". Be sure to catch him and Spirit of Alanta as they field the delta this summer!
If you are near a DCI show, catch one and support our guys as they embark on their journey this summer!
Don't forget about West Texas Drums in Canyon this summer, July 17th, for those of you in the area! More info to come, but stay tuned!

That's a wrap on the 2022-23 school year!
Congratulations to all our members on a successful year! There are many exciting highlights and successful moments each and every one of our members had throughout the year, and we couldn't be more proud! From marching band to joining DCI this summer, Concert band performances to Symphonic Band going to CBDNA, Music Therapy to the Buffalows, It's a great time to be a buff here at WT and we have each and every one here to thank here! Thank you to Dr. Jeremy Lewis for his guidance, wisdom, and teachings, whether it be for our performance craft or everyday life skills. We would not be where we are without him. Congratulations to everyone once again. Go buffs!

Last band concerts of the year! What a way to go out!
Both bands played amazing programs, and we would like to recognize the highlights from last night's band concerts!
Concert Band's program includes works by John Philip Sousa, Dmitri Shostakovich, Samuel R. Hazo, William Bolcom, Steven Bryant, and Dennis Llinas.

They both did a wonderful job on their respective pieces!
Symphonic Band's program includes works by Percy Grainger, Pavel Chesnokov, David Maslanka, and Karl L. King.

Congratulations to our graduate student, Patrick Lucas, on performing at tonight's honor recital! It was a night of recognition to the students here at WT on their musicianship and academic performance/achievement.
Patrick Lucas (MM in Conducting) was representing the brass student/faculty body and performed Fantasy for Euphonium and Brass Band by Philip Sparke. What an incredible job tonight!
We'd also like to congratulate Jack Montgomery on receiving the Cody Myers Scholarship tonight!
Congratulations to our studio members and to everyone who was awarded tonight!

What a performance, Bravo!
Yesterday, our very own Dr. Lewis and Dr. Shanks had their joint recital, assisted by Dr. Rushing on piano.
They featured pieces written by Phil Snedecor, Anthony DiLorenzo, Reinhold Gliere, Libbey Larson, Kevin Day, and James Meador!

The Tuba/Euph Studio held their recital last night at Mary Moody Northen Hall and absolutely killed it! What a wonderful night full of talent and sound!
The recital featured works by Schubert, Sparke, Broughton, Frackenpohl, and Meador. Thank you to Ms. Mila Abbasova on piano!

Our concert band members have recently performed last weekend and we would like to commemorate their hard work and excellence!
The concert band had performed the works of Ticheli, Mackey, Press, Bryant, and Chance. It was a wonderful and challenging program that they knocked out of the park.
We would also like to congratulate one of our studio members, Patrick Lucas, on conducting the concert band on one of the pieces by Frank Ticheli. Great job!
