This year has been awesome. I am so thankful for the support and encouragement from my village to continue on this birth work path.

2025 has come with becoming an ICEA certified Childbirth Educator, teaching 5 childbirth courses, and supporting 6 labor & deliveries, and establishing my meeting space at our church home 💜

I have 2 classes scheduled and 5 clients due this spring. I am so excited to support their births and watch how God speaks to each of them 💕

I have much to be thankful for today.

• I am thankful my first birth ended in an emergency Cesarean - though I couldn’t see it in the moment, this was my first step towards birth work

• I am forever grateful God gifted me a birth doula for my second - i tell everyone that anytime I think of Anna I just picture a big bow on her head 🎁 She gave me the confidence I needed to have my unmedicated VBAC (another gift from God all its own)

• I am thankful for my village - without my Puxico tribe being on call for babysitting, every time I’m on call for your birth, I could not be a doula. Without my momma & grandmas words, I wouldnt have the full business I have today. And my husband who not only cheers me on but actively plays Mr Mom as I support births or am teaching classes.

• And of course, I am so honored, grateful & thankful for each momma who has let me play a part in their birth journey.

I get it, we don’t WANT to be difficult..
To make our provider mad or annoyed.
To be rebellious, to break the rules, to cause disruption... etc.

But sometimes a little of that is needed to stand up for your body.

There are ample ways to decline medical interventions, while still remaining respectful to your provider. After all, they are medical professionals and we WANT their support. Our system just isn’t set up to support natural births anymore.

Birth doulas can help you navigate these conversations and decisions all while baby and mama’s safety are kept priority 💙
