World Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Day is dedicated to connection: building a stronger community through connection, self-connection and connection to quality care. No one should feel alone in their fight and we are supporting the movement that advocates for better networks, promotes self-care and provides better services for those affected by MS.
Drop Foot is a common symptom in the MS community. In MS, drop foot is caused by weakness in the ankle or disruption in the nerve pathway to and from the brain that results in difficulty lifting the foot. Some other MS symptoms can make drop foot worsen, like numbness and muscle weakness or spasms in the leg that can make it more challenging to control your leg and foot. It is important to find a drop foot treatment that works for you and sometime, an AFO can be that solution.
