What is the difference between Allerbi and Rouvy? This is a question we have met many times, we think the main reason for this question is that Rouvy also uses outdoor routes, that is the same as Allerbi. Rouvy is quite popular among cyclists who prefer riding outdoor rather than riding on virtual routes, which are used by Zwift.

The difference is pretty big: Allerbi is a vertical integrated indoor bike solution while Rouvy is a cycling app, it is only a component of your indoor training solution.

But what does that mean? How does that affect purchasing decision?

When a customer purchases an Allerbi bike, it comes with the hardware (exercise bike and accessories), software and many pre-installed routes, it is an all-in-one solution, the customer can ride it right away. Extra routes can be downloaded in future.

To use Rouvy, beyond its subscription, the customer still need a bike, a smart trainer and a computer. After having all necessary components, the customer still needs to put them together, make right connections and setup correctly before starting to ride.

Because the customer needs components from different vendors to use Rouvy, the performance of each components have direct impact on the overall performance of the training solution. I mean, a high end smart trainer is much more expensive than an entry level smart trainer.

Allerbi, as a vertical integrated solution, its software, hardware and content are all optimized for best performance while maintaining a good price. We can talk about this for days, but a direct example is that when riding an Allerbi bike, you will find the video quality and smoothness are always good no matter how fast or how slow you ride.

That is the biggest difference between Allerbi and Rouvy, that difference causes many other differences like multiple riding mode, dedicated clean route screen, etc..

We all know Allerbi bikes have dedicated route display to create best realistic and immersive outdoor riding experience, and it does serve the purpose based on all the feedback we have received.

It is very true that a big and clean screen without data brings you the true outdoor experience that a 28 inch screen full of various data can not compare. Size and cleanness do matter in this regard.

Regarding some questions, here are some clarifications:

First, the route display can be any size. The biggest screen we have tried is a 120" white screen from a projector, the view, feeling and experience are unbeatable.

Second, the route display can be any type of display but it does need an HDMI port to connect to Allerbi computer, that is the only requirement for the display.

Third, the route display is not included in our product package. We take this approach considering customer's various preference as well as the price of today's big screen TV. Customer have the right to choose whatever they like the most.

By the way, the product package does include the small touch screen for bike control and data display.

Some peoples asked me, what is Allerbi Multiple Riding Mode really?

Before I explain, I assume we all know Allerbi bikes have three riding modes, Training Mode, Exercise Mode and Leisure Mode.

In a really simple way to explain this, on the same section of a climbing route, the Training Mode will give you the real resistance based on the road slope, your riding speed, wind speed, road surface and body profile; the Exercise Mode will give you 70% of the real resistance; and the Leisure Mode will give you 40% of the real resistance.

You can select riding mode based on route difficulty, for example, you can select Leisure Mode to ride a steep climbing route and then select Training Mode on a park route. The result is, you can enjoy riding any route in the world.

Hope this give you an idea on what is Allerbi Multiple Riding Mode.

On today's exercise bike market, you probably have heard "connect bike" many times. The "connect" means internet connection, basically, a connect bike needs internet connection for full functioning.

So what happened if the internet connection gets lost or the connection is slow? Well, they are in trouble. You probably can still ride the bikes, but you won't get the expected features you want.

Allerbi is different (see, another difference), Allerbi is full functional even without internet connection. That means you can still ride the world and enjoy the view in any situation you can imagine.

So you don't need to worry about video quality and smoothness, you don't need to worry about the route stuck while you pedaling like crazy, everything is normal, just ride, just enjoy!
