Watching my husband before and after allergy shots has been the biggest reminder that you don’t have to just “manage” allergies forever.

There’s a real difference between covering up symptoms with medications and actually retraining your immune system. Whether it’s allergy shots or drops, immunotherapy can be a game changer for the right person 🙌

Spring is the perfect time to talk about blooming — and balance. 🌿

I recently sat down with Dr. Kristy Mount of , a local Direct Primary Care physician, and let me tell you — this collaboration just makes sense. When your primary care doctor and your allergist are on the same page, YOU get better, more connected care.

Dr. Mount just published a beautiful piece on caring for the whole person this season — link below to read it.

This is what healthcare is supposed to feel like. 🌸

There is a certain magic to spring. Longer days. Softer light. The return of warmth. And, for many, the quiet but persistent arrival of seasonal allergies. What begins as a tickle in the throat or a hint of congestion can quickly unfold into something far more disruptive—runny nose, itchy eyes, f

Most people don’t realize how much actually falls under allergy and immunology.

If you’ve been dealing with ongoing congestion, “sinus infections” that keep coming back, eczema, asthma symptoms, hives, chronic cough, or food allergy concerns… it might not be random.

There’s usually a pattern. The goal is to find it and build a plan that actually makes sense long term.

Lactose intolerance and a milk allergy are not the same thing—and that distinction matters.

Lactose intolerance happens when your body doesn’t have enough lactase (the enzyme that breaks down lactose, the sugar in milk). This leads to symptoms like bloating, gas, and diarrhea after eating dairy. Uncomfortable? Yes. Dangerous? No.

A milk allergy, on the other hand, is an immune system reaction to milk proteins. That can cause hives, vomiting, wheezing, or even anaphylaxis—and it requires strict avoidance.

So if dairy makes you feel awful, it doesn’t automatically mean “allergy.” But it does mean your body is trying to tell you something!
