As a nurse practitioner in primary care for 25 years I regularly did health and wellness counseling. However I had about 10 minutes to do it in! I crammed in as much as I could in that short time but only so much can be absorbed by the brain at one time. I wish I had a program like Refresh to refer people to before I retired. I just completed a semester of Refresh and had 4 months to learn and absorb the essential information everyone should know about diet, exercise and lifestyle habits that promote wellness. In this program I learned how to identify foods that work the best for me, things to be avoided ( personal to me and in general), re- learned which macronutrients I need and how much of each,I began a strength training practice, and much more. is an amazing coach, trainer, teacher and cheerleader And you have a fabulous team to cheer you on as you make this journey. Unfurling like a fern in suptatadasana after plane travel in what felt like the fetal position (economy lol). The leg block activates my legs and lengthens the back line, the block between the hands connects my low ribs and lats ( my wings) to my fingers. The ambiance helps too☺️
