CrossFit is a core strength and conditioning program. We have designed our program to elicit as broad an adaptational response as possible. CrossFit is not a specialized fitness program but a deliberate attempt to optimize physical competence in each of ten recognized fitness domains. They are Cardiovascular and Respir

atory endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy. The CrossFit Program was developed to enhance an individual’s competency at all physical tasks. Our athletes are trained to perform successfully at multiple, diverse, and randomized physical challenges. Absolutely anyone from grandparents to elite athletes! Anyone who wants to perform acts of daily living with healthy body movements and get into great shape while doing it! We have a true sense of community with an absolutely fun and supportive group of people who all workout together and urge each other on daily. What we offer at Carroll CrossFit:
Everyone starts with a Fundamentals Class. This includes 6 one on one half our personal training sessions:
- 7 point fitness assessment to give a baseline of starting fitness. These are performed free at the end of each quarter.
- 4 technique sessions learning most of the basic movements of CrossFit that will be used in class
- A nutrition session learning the basics of the Zone nutrition program.

We will be doing the Murph workout this Monday at 8 AM. There are scaled versions available all the way down to a 20 minute mini Murph. This is open to the public and anybody is welcome to join us. Class starts at eight so be early to warm up. This is a free for anybody wanting to honor the fallen

I have stretches specifically designed for golf flexibility, as well as mechanics and increasing power. All which directly affect your golf game. Was feeling a little froggy this morning so I thought I would jump. Can’t remember the last time I back squatted 300 #. And I can already hear everybody from class chirping “ that looked a little too easy, maybe you should add some 2 1/2”😂.
At 53 I’ll take it. Somebody asked me recently what I’m training for. I told them. “ life, I’m trying to make me hard to kill.” 🤪 💪

We’ve got another free class coming up tomorrow morning. Offering the free one-on-one training to get started with regular class if you show up for Saturday morning class. This is a $75 value and gives you three hours of personal training to get started with regular class. It’s easier than you think and a lot of the cool people you already know are doing it. Starts at eight so be a little early to warm up.

Restarting an old favorite. These two have been crushing it in the gym for over a year so we asked them a few questions.
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
We started in September 2024

What were you most scared/nervous about when you started CrossFit?
Not being able to do the exercises that we’d be asked to do.

What goals did you have when you first started?
Get stronger, lose weight, better flexibility, and reduce medication’s

What keeps you coming back?
Seeing success in our goals and the people that are in our class.

What goals/personal records have you achieve that you didn’t think you could?
Reducing and eliminating some of our prescribed medication‘s. Weight loss. And being able to do some of the exercise exercises that at first try were difficult but are now much easier.

What’s your least favorite movement?
Push-ups and wall balls.

What’s your favorite movement?
Push press

Any other information or words of wisdom you would give someone else who’s thinking about trying In CrossFit?
You just need to give CrossFit a try. Brian will modify any exercise or movement so you can be successful.

These two are staples in our Functional and Fit class at 7 AM Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This is the non-barbell class. If you’d like to join them and give CrossFit a try, we’d love to see you in the gym.

Don’t forget about today’s free class and free one-on-one training

Free class tomorrow at 8 AM. And more free stuff. First five new people to show up get free basic training to start regular class. This is a $75 value and a great way to get some one-on-one personal training on how to lift correctly and get started with class .
