Close the ears that track the outer world,
Open the ears of the soul.
Engage the muscles at the base of the pelvis,
The intimate special places,
And cherish the vibrating energies there contained.
The song of creation,
Sustaining, enlivening,
Is thrumming in your body,
Whispering secrets.
Listen in.
Meditating on the symphony of your own life currents,
Enter the palace of the Creator.
✨️The Radiance Sutras✨️
Each meditation is a deep dive into aliveness, into the underlying reality of what life is.
Balance is there at every step; the unshakeable serenity of the depths is used as a foundation so that we can tolerate the electrifying vastness of the universe.
We are invited to cross the threshold,
To walk by the guardian of the gate,
To face our terrors,
And make our way into the immense and timeless mystery that is always calling.

The lotus flower🙏 such a beautiful example of perseverance in nature. The Lotus begins it's journey rooted in mud and completely submerged in water. Yet, somehow it manages to rise to the surface towards the light. From there it's vibrant pedals blossom open one at a time💕
When times are tough, think of the Lotus flower and it's ability to survive darkness and rise into the light. You too, can overcome and by nourishing your heart you can witness your own pedals blossom one-by-one❤
I'd like to wish everyone a very Happy International Yoga Day. Even if you don't practice...yoga can simply be just the way you love and cherish others as you would yourself🙏
May you be well, may you have love, and may you have peace in your life🙏💕
Namastè,
Meg

"Most humans are never fully present in the now, because unconsciously they believe that the next moment must be more important than this one. But then you miss your whole life, which is never not now." -Eckhart Tolle
I'm curious to know what your thoughts are on this....Do you tend to reside in past situations or are you someone who is always on to the next thing, striving to "make it"?
It's totally natural for our minds to wander! You may have noticed that our minds like to create and try to solve problems, but have you ever asked yourself where these problems come from? Maybe it's because we are living our past over and over or we are worried about something that hasn't even happened yet🤔
I used to be someone who lived in my past most of the time...not fun. I learned that it was holding me back from who I wanted to be. Now, though, I often spend more of my time thinking about future situations. Don't get me wrong, it's great to think about our futures and I totally encourage you to do so! However, there is a balance. If I'm too focused on what's ahead(or behind😳), then I'm missing out on precious time with my family and friends RIGHT NOW. Practicing mindfulness is a real work in progress kinda thang. But when you're in the Now, it's hard for our minds to create problems because in the current moment, there are none. Only when we shift our thinking to our past or future do problems and stress start to overcome us. Now, when it comes to making logical decisions in the present, it's totally ok to reflect on the past and future to make a proper decision for ourselves, but when we dwell in either of those two states, it's easy to become unhappy and lose that mental equilibrium. I'd love to hear my friends' thoughts on this! If you don't feel comfortable sharing in the post, I encourage you to send me a dm, I'd love to chat😊❤🙏

🚨NEW CLASS ALERT🚨
Looking for a way to actively recover on your "off" day from your regular workout routine? Then this is the class for you! To explain further, active recovery is any low-intensity exercise following a strenuous workout (i.e. Crossfit). What does active recovery mean for you? Well, it can reduce soreness and it actually speeds up the muscle-building process!! Yoga is an excellent tool to get the blood flowing evenly through your muscles without putting heavy strain on your muscles and joints. But, you say you would rather relax on the couch instead? Fun fact, active recovery is actually MORE beneficial to recovery over sitting, resting, or inactivity. Our bodies are designed to move and THRIVE when we move them everyday. In this class, with consistent practice, you'll also increase your lungs' breathing capacity, increase your body's flexibility, AND increase your joint mobility!!....all of which translate nicely into your regular workout routine. It's a win-win, baby!!
Class Begins Sunday March, 7th at 9am
DM me for details❤

I absolutely LOVE that my has the ability to track my vitals during meditation and breath work! I get a clear and concise read into my own body and I am able to better understand how meditation and working with our breath affects our bodies on a very real level. Not only can I see how my body is functioning in meditation, Whoop also gives that same care and attention to literally EVERYTHING I do throughout my day! How I am functioning during my time on the yoga mat, how hard I'm pushing myself during a fiery spin class, the power I am putting to the pedals on my mountain bike, how much effort I put into chores around the house....it even tracks my respiratory rate as I'm sleeping, among so many other things.....so freaking cool. On top of all that, Whoop also tells me how well my body has recovered from the previous days' workouts and will let me know how hard I can push myself to effectively increase my body's fitness!
By using my Whoop Strap 24/7 I am able to apply this knowledge in my yoga classes for my students as well as my cycling students. I've been using Whoop for almost a year now and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone interested in learning about their own body in a way that no other strap offers. By getting to see inside of your own body, you can workout more effectively and become a stronger athlete because of it!

《Mountain Meditation》♡♡ Nature is both incredibly energizing and beautifully grounding🙏 today, I had the honor of riding my bike alongside a majestic buck....only pure beauty and wisdom, and possibly some curiosity eminating from such a stunning creature. Shortly after, I came through a heard of young deer...I respected them and they did not run in fear of me. I also saw and heard many small animals going about their day🥰 I heard streams of trickling water and the wind gently caressing the trees...what a blessing, I AM HOME❤ By observing the qualities of nature we can learn about our inner nature as human beings....we can come to see, through a cleaner lens, that WE are nature and nature is US....the ultimate connection🙏❤🤙🏻

ABOUT THE TEACHER

Hello, Friends!! My name is Meghan Hundley and welcome to my page!! I am a 400 hr (and ongoing!) Certified Yoga Teacher. I have been teaching yoga several days per week in the Carson City/Reno Areas for the last 2 years. I have been practicing yoga and meditation in my own body for the last 16 years. Before I began practicing yoga daily, I played/coached soccer, I was in the gym at least 3 days per week, I was a runner, and over a 7 year period I was blessed to be a part of a traveling, competitive indoor Colorguard team with a huge focus on dance and movement (this was when I was first introduced to the Yin style of yoga!). During this time I also coached a highschool Colorguard team in my hometown of Bakersfield, CA. In other words...I love to move my body! I set roots in the beautiful state of Nevada in 2012 and since then yoga has been my main focus of movement (anndd...I also love to ride my mountain bike!). I believe wholeheartedly in the power (both physically and mentally) of yoga and its’ endless benefits. So much so, that I feel it is my dharma(duty) to share this abundant practice with others. In the 2 years that I have been teaching, I have worked with athletes, people recovering from injuries, as well as those living with long-term injuries, children, and every body in between! I can confidently say that yoga is my passion and I can’t wait to share it with YOU!!
