Meet our next provider, Morgan Zebulske PA-C!

Morgan Zebulske (formerly Morgan Locklear) is a native of North Carolina, who grew up in the small town of Lumberton. She attended UNC Chapel Hill and received a Bachelor’s of Science in biology with a minor in chemistry. She worked as a medical assistant in primary care and as a pharmacy technician before attending PA school. Morgan graduated from Wake Forest School of Medicine’s PA program. She is married to her wonderful husband Jonathan and they are active in their local church. They enjoy reading, cooking, and doing any type of outdoor activities. In 2022, the Zebulskes welcomed two new additions, twin daughters Charlotte and Keller!

Say hello to Janelle Lopez-Wright, PA-C!

Janelle Lopez-Wright grew up in rural southern Colorado. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from the University of Colorado in 2015. After completion of her degree, she worked as a medical assistant at a private dermatology practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She later continued to pursue her passion for medicine and completed her Master of Health Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies at Duke University. She practiced in family medicine prior to joining the team in May 2023. In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband, Jonathan, and their rescue dog Zip. She also enjoys learning to cook traditional Mexican food, spending time outdoors, working on home projects, and learning how to build furniture.

The next provider introduction is Michael Keene, PA-C!

A native of the Seattle area, Michael G. Keene graduated with a BS in Chemistry with an emphasis in Biochemistry from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA. There, he also earned the NAIA District One Scholar-Athlete Award and was nominated for Academic All-American in soccer. He came to North Carolina in 1989 to attend the Duke School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program where he completed his Master of Health Science, graduating with honors and receiving several academic scholarships.

Mr. Keene began practicing in family medicine where he remained for seven years before concentrating in dermatology in 1998. This same year he completed a PA Teaching Fellowship at Duke, serving on faculty within the Department of Community and Family Medicine. He has lectured for the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants and Duke PA Program, and has served on faculty at the Duke School of Medicine for over twenty years. Areas of particular interest are dermatologic surgery and pediatric dermatology.

Mr. Keene is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants, and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Additionally, he has served as chairman of the PA Alumni Steering Committee at Duke.

His wife, Georgina F. Keene, PA-C, retired from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Duke, and their daughter is interested in medicine, as well.

It’s time to meet your providers! First up is Dr. Steffany Shearer, DO, FAOCD, FAAD.

Dr. Steffany Shearer is a board-certified dermatologist who joined Dermatology & Skin Surgery Center in 2023. She was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She graduated magna cm laude from the University of Oklahoma in 2003. She received her medical degree from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2009. She was elected into the Sigma Sigma Phi medical honor society. Dr. Shearer completed her traditional internship at University Hospitals in Richmond Heights, Ohio. She graduated from Larkin Community Hospital dermatology residency in South Miami, Florida in 2013. She served as the chief resident during her senior year. Following her residency, Dr. Shearer practiced in Ardmore, Oklahoma, providing dermatologic care to the southern portion of the state. She and her family relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina in 2017. Dr. Shearer specializes in general and cosmetic dermatology, as well as Mohs micrographic surgery. Dr. Shearer is a fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the American Society of Mohs Surgery. Outside of dermatology, she loves spending time with her husband and their three young children.
