Recently, some of our employees came together to do something special and donated over $300 to fill Christmas stockings for children supported by Families Together. Families Together is a local organization that helps families move from homelessness to stability with compassion, support, and education.

Through a generous employer match, Therapy Tree Services sponsored the gift wish lists for three families currently living in temporary housing. We are so excited to know that those children will have something to unwrap on Christmas morning, chosen just for them.

Families Together offers apartment-style housing so families can stay together. They help parents find jobs, secure benefits, and provide life skills along with financial education for long-term stability. NORTH CAROLINA FAMILIES NEED YOUR HELP.

Legislators left the Capitol this week without finalizing a state budget. That unfinished business led to a planned 3%+ reduction for Medicaid providers across the state.

But here is the crisis: NC Medicaid slashed outpatient specialized therapy rates by 8% instead of the planned 3%. This impacts speech, physical, and occupational therapists across the state - the professionals helping our children learn to speak, move, and thrive.

At this time, providers have NO timeline for a fix. DHHS has not even acknowledged that this was done in error. ALL Medicaid providers - from hospitals, nursing homes, pediatricians, and mental health services - were impacted by varying degrees of cuts yesterday.

Our kids can't wait. Legislators must return to Raleigh and vote to fund the Medicaid rebase to reverse these cuts and protect access to care.

This month, Therapy Tree Services is celebrating its 7th anniversary, and what a journey it has been!

We started in 2018 with a simple mission: to make high-quality, bilingual speech therapy more accessible to families across the Triangle. Since then, we have evolved from providing only in-home visits to establishing a thriving clinic. We have launched our specialized dyslexia program and built a dedicated team of 20 professionals who serve more than 300 children every week.
