By the grace of G-d, we are thrilled to announce the beginning of Therapeutic Living Communities(TLC) building of a phase one database. Please message me at 480-518-3779 or Jeff@Therapeuticlivingcommunity.org (mailto:Jeff@Therapeuticlivingcommunity.org) to have your name added to the growing list of interested parties.
Therapeutic Living Community (TLC) has the potential to be something truly extraordinary, a beacon of hope and healing for the community. Our proposed scope of work is designed to guide the development process efficiently, ensuring our shared vision becomes a reality within budget and schedule.

TLC Introduces an innovative and transformative concept that merges interactive adaptability with therapeutic support, creating a dynamic mixed-development and destination. TLC is not just a place; it's a vision for a brighter future that intertwines medical tourism and inclusivity for the diverse world of DiffAbilities.

Designed and planned around a social ideal with collective values and interests involving shared resources and responsibilities, in which an individual, couple, or a family interconnected by physical & I/DD chooses to live, work, play, learn, and retire. The solution to the very real challenges faced by individuals with complex needs and their families are in innovation, effective training and credentialing programs for staff, increased funding, and development of a shared vision to reach the goals articulated through TLC: equality of opportunity, full participation, independent living, and economic development.

Our interconnected philosophies and goals reflect the growing understanding and needs in order to live a fully integrated life within the community - to live, go to school, work, enjoy recreation, and be active in retirement - belongs to all.

Post corrected for clarity We have not yet begun actual construction.

Research concluded that there were 818,564 people ranging in age from their early 20s to early 40s living with intellectual disability in this country in 2021, or a prevalence of 0.95%.

Importantly, many adults with intellectual disability are on waiting lists for community-based services and are not receiving necessary supports for housing, employment and much more, Benevides said. In addition, they often face an uncertain future as caregivers age.

“What alarms me is we don’t have sufficient services and supports for adults. We just don’t have them,” Benevides said. “When people ask for services, support and resources, there’s no place to point them to unless they are children.”
