Skin cancer affects millions each year, but with early detection and prevention, it’s highly treatable. Learn more: https://rockymountainoncology.com/news/skin-cancer-awareness/

Who’s at risk?
Anyone can be at risk for skin cancer, but especially those with fair skin, frequent sun exposure, tanning bed use, or a history of sunburns.

Protect your skin:
- Wear SPF 30+ daily
- Use hats, sunglasses & protective clothing
- Stay in the shade (10 AM–4 PM)
- Reapply sunscreen every 2 hours
- Check your skin for changes

Use the ABCDEs to spot trouble:
Asymmetry, Border, Color, Diameter, Evolving

If you notice a new or changing spot, don’t wait—early detection saves lives.

July is Bone and Sarcoma Cancer Awareness Month

Bone and soft tissue sarcomas are rare but serious cancers that can impact people of all ages. Though they make up a small percentage of cancer diagnoses, their effects are deeply felt by patients, families, and care teams.

This month, we raise awareness, honor those in treatment, and stand with survivors and researchers.

While not all brain tumors are cancerous, every tumor can impact vital functions like memory, speech, and motor skills—depending on its location.

🔎 Common symptoms to watch for:
• Persistent or worsening headaches
• Seizures
• Memory loss or confusion
• Changes in speech or vision

About 30% of brain tumors are malignant, but all deserve expert evaluation and care.
