Pale Spruce, LLC Simple. Practical. Prepared. Products to get you home safely so you can go for another adventure tomorrow.

While I was researching first aid and emergency supplies it dawned on me how careless I had been in the previous 15 years of mountain and road cycling. I had been out on hundreds of rides where I was unprepared to deal with dilemmas that may arise. It could have been as simple as forgetting sunscreen or as serious as getting lost as the sun began to set. This led to the idea of "Out There" kits and Kid's Safety kits. "Out There" kits are small lightweight kits that are packed and ready to go out there and help you be prepared. The pre-built kits make it easy to throw one in a hydration pack or backpack without having to hunt around for your first aid, emergency, and personal care gear. The Kid's Safety kits contain the essentials to help keep your kids safe when they are outside or at an event with a large crowd.

It’s time for another paracord wrap. This time with some bright colors, a hole in the middle, and Hobbits. Ok, there are only Hobbit references. Not actual Hobbits The previous stick reminded me of a penguin. When looking at this

Wondering if anyone has ever made a breakfast concoction like the one mentioned here - brownie mix + instant carnation + oatmeal + coffee. Sounds kind of tasty, and who wouldn't want a breakfast of brownies and coffee

"Camping doesn’t have to be intimidating or overwhelming. Start small with one planned weekend trip for this year and work your way up to bigger, longer trips."

I myself didn’t grow up camping but have grown to love this popular summer activity over the past several years. I can assure you that every trip gets a little bit easier and that you’ll become a pro in no time. First though, you’ve got to get started.
