✨ Big Announcement ✨
We are honored to share that Ryan Hampton will be our VIP speaker at this year’s Recovery Along the Rockies Masquerade Gala, benefiting HardBeauty Foundation.

Ryan is a man in long-term recovery who stood up to Big Pharma—and won. His fight for accountability is one of the reasons we have settlement funding today. Founder of Mobilize Recovery, he continues to lead nationally, shaping the conversation on recovery, policy, and justice. A former Clinton White House staffer, Ryan is both brilliant and humble, and we are beyond grateful to welcome him to Colorado.

🎭 VIP/Sponsor Event: 6–7 PM
🎟️ General Admission: Doors open at 7 PM

Ryan will be with us for the evening, but our VIP Reception offers a special opportunity to connect with him more personally. If you’d like to be part of this exclusive event, check out our sponsorship opportunities.

Bridge-to-Bridge Cleanup Gratitude
Back in June, two of our amazing board members, Jess (our Board President) and Salkin (our Treasurer), rolled up their sleeves and got down in the creek with us for our Bridge-to-Bridge Cleanup.

Thank you, Jess and Salkin, for showing up.

Meet the HardBeauty Foundation Board & Advisory Board

I am so proud to introduce the incredible people serving on the HeartBeauty Foundation Board and Advisory Board. This has been over a year in the making — building a board that is not only invested, but truly committed to our mission.

These leaders have already stepped in and stepped up — showing up at First Friday events, gathering volunteers, Masquerade, offering their expertise, and helping carry the lift so that we can continue to serve our communities with impact. As the Executive Director, having a board like this is a dream come true, and I’m deeply grateful for the time, heart, and dedication they’ve already given to HardBeauty Foundation.

This is just the start of our “Get to Know Our Board” series. Over the coming weeks, we’ll introduce you to each member individually so you can learn more about the people helping guide our mission, vision, and purpose forward.

Please join me in welcoming and thanking this amazing group for their commitment to recovery, community, and the work ahead.

At HardBeauty Foundation, we believe in recovery through connection—not confinement.
Last weeks executive order threatens the lives and dignity of the very people we serve.

HardBeauty & HardBeauty Foundation Community Update: Temporary Pause on Scholarships for Peer Recovery Coaching

HardBeauty has always stood on the belief that healing should never be withheld based on a person’s ability to pay. For years, we’ve proudly offered scholarship-funded peer recovery services to anyone in need. Unfortunately, due to significant budget cuts across our funding landscape, we are temporarily pausing our Peer Recovery Scholarship Program through the end of July 2025.

Here’s what you need to know:
➡️ If you are currently on a scholarship, you will continue to receive services without interruption.
➡️ New scholarship applications are on hold for now.
➡️ If you are Medicaid eligible, we strongly encourage you to apply as we shift into expanded Medicaid billing.
➡️ Peer coaching services will remain available through cash pay or Medicaid during this time.
➡️ We will reassess in August 2025 and share an update with our community about next steps.

We recognize the impact this decision may have—and we did not make it lightly. This pause is a strategic step to ensure that HardBeauty can continue to serve our current clients with the highest level of care while we strengthen the long-term sustainability of our programs.

Our mission remains unchanged. This is not an ending—it’s a re-calibration. We are still here, still fighting, and still committed to recovery for all.

With Gratitude,
Racquel Garcia

SAVE THE DATE!

HardBeauty presents the 5th Annual Recovery Along the Rockies Masquerade.

We’re setting the art aside this year, but what we’re showing up for hasn’t changed. This night is about recovery, hope, and the kind of community that doesn’t just talk about healing—it lives it.

Come as you are—masked, unmasked, and wholly yourself. Whether you’re walking through it, holding space for someone else, or just need to feel less alone, we want you there.

Our work is personal.
Our founder, Racquel Garcia, was recently featured by CU Anschutz Medical Campus in a powerful article about her journey through addiction, recovery, and purpose.

For those who’ve ever wondered where the drive behind our mission comes from—this story is part of the foundation. Racquel’s lived experience is the heartbeat behind everything we do, from peer recovery support to systems change to creating spaces for connection without judgment.

We’re honored to share her story with you.

Public funding for maternal recovery programs in Colorado is vanishing — and with it, critical lifelines for mamas working hard to rebuild.
No Mama Left Behind is more than a campaign.
It’s a commitment — to show up when the systems don’t.
We are stepping in where government support has stepped out:
✨ Peer recovery coaching
🍼 Diapers, formula, and baby essentials
🏡 Sober living program assistance
🤝 Ongoing, relationship-based support

Your partnership helps us say YES when a mama calls for help. It means she doesn’t have to choose between recovery and survival. It means her children get to witness resilience in motion.
