Students in Elk Point, South Dakota, partnered with the Elk Point Police Department to share printable communication boards that help officers communicate with individuals who may not be able to speak in an emergency. Efforts like this build understanding during critical interactions such as wellness checks, emergency responses, and public safety encounters.
