"I JUST NEED TO DO IT!".....
Here's why you can't.
I had the pleasure of having coffee ☕️ with a woman today from our local Professional Women's Network about speaking at one of their events. (Very excited for this BTW)
I described to her the symptoms so many women experience that they are looking for a solution to…
Fatigue, Brain fog, Moodiness, Cravings, Sporadic eating habits, Weight gain/trouble losing weight, Trouble sleeping, Stress… the list goes on, right? 🙇‍♀️
“You’re speaking to me!” She said. “I’ve tried EVERYTHING to become healthier.” and then went on to list the things she's tried that most women have at one time or another.
“I know I need to just eat better food, workout consistently, get better sleep, and relax to see results. Ugh. I just need to DO IT!”
So I asked her, “So what is preventing you?”

“Im so busy during the day and then exhausted by the time I get home, the last thing I want to do is prep meals or work out.”

… at this point I get excited to help because she is NOT the first nor will she BE the last to describe this EXACT struggle and I know the proven solution.

SERIOUSLY - RAISE YOUR HANDS IN THE COMMENTS IF THIS STRUGGLE IS YOUR STICKING POINT TOO.

Whether it’s in the morning, mid-day, evening, or weekend that you have time for your self-care but are struggling to take advantage of it…. if you feel there’s an overwhelming aversion to actually executing those actions - THATS WHAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED FIRST.
“Lemme ‘splain; no lemme sum up”:
HORMONES… You under-fueled, over-worked, under-slept…. and now they’re mad. 😡

I found that my past "WORK HARD - PLAY HARD" strategy Was seriously holding me back... and not just a little... but A LOT!
My OLD WAY sorta worked for me in my 20s... but, hey, it's definitely not going to work for me anymore. 👎

Something to think about as you roll through this weekend....
Ladies (and men) 30+... The days following an off-track weekend - no matter how "on track" you are Monday - Thursday, you likely are STILL recovering from what you did over the weekend.
Also, if you were like me back-in-the-day, often times we OVERDO it to "make up for" what we did thru the weekend: skipping meals, eating minimal calories, salads on salads on salads.
Not only have I found that the Old Way was missing nutrients (so many dull salads), but it left me feeling restricted and looking forward to over-indulging with another weekend of "cheat days". So I bet you feel the same way?
Despite all the efforts during the week you probably find yourself burnt out AND still holding onto excess weight.
Check out the NEW WAY that has been my saving grace... Balanced energizing meals, a little indulgence here and there to keep life fun, and FINALLY enough days in the "GREEN" to actually see results.

Are you cutting calories and doing hours of cardio??? 🥗🏃🏻‍♀️
This is the ❌WORST THING❌ you could do to improve metabolism, melt fat, and sustain the results. 🙅🏻‍♀️

Why?.... short 🤏 science lesson...

Basal Metabolic Rate: The calories required to keep your body functioning at rest. - Basically the minimum calories you burn daily. 🔥

Guess what increases Basal Metabolic Rate significantly... ➡️ MUSCLE! 💪

YEP!!! Burning calories while you sit at your desk at work! 🔥🔥🔥

Guess what decreases muscle fastest??? Not using it and not fueling it with weight-free cardio and low calorie diets.

YES, Strength training increases muscle, but not alone. 👉 You need quality food in abundance 🥗🍗🍠 and adequate recovery 😴💧... otherwise the opposite happens and muscle begins to deteriorate (atrophy).

Luckily there are 𝘴𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦 ways to make sure that balance is right!

🔥What’s the #1 enemy of your goals?🔥
I’m talking about the absolute biggest roadblock standing in your way.
There are so many to choose from:
Not having enough time
Lack of support
Not knowing what to do
Your genetics
Pizza
The list goes on and on!
😲 ... What if I told you that none of those things are actually your enemy?
That’s because… drumroll… the #1 thing standing in between you and your goals is:
YOU.
We get in our own way in so many ways. Here are just a few:
⬇️
You haven’t made reaching your goals a true priority. This means you let your healthy habits slide when you’re stressed/tired/something more fun comes along.
⬇️
You have imposter syndrome. You don’t think you are worthy of your goals, which makes it easier to quit.
⬇️
You haven’t set yourself up for success. It’s super easy to get discouraged and quit when you don’t have a plan, support, accountability, etc.
⬇️
You think you don’t have the willpower. EVERYONE (and I mean EVERYONE) struggles from time to time. But when you know WHY your goal matters to you, it’s easier to overcome those struggles.
⬇️
You let one “slip” derail you. No one is perfect 24/7. The people who reach their goals get up after a slip-up, dust themselves off, figure out what went wrong, and get back at it!
Those are just a few off the top of my head. There are dozens more.
💡BUT… knowing yourself and being aware of the ways that YOU tend to get in your own way, will help you to become even STRONGER.
What would happen if the next time you sabotaged yourself, you took some real time to think about the reasons why – without beating yourself up for it?

Your mindset makes all the difference!
Taking some real time to explore it – whether you do it by journaling, working with a coach, or talking with a trusted mentor or friend – can help you reconnect with the reasons your goals matter to you.
Because when your mindset is right, you can overcome just about any obstacle that is standing in your way!

IF you are female age 30-50 and feel like a lost cause when it's come to achieving optimal mental and physical health... PLEASE READ, I HAVE SOMETHING NEW:
So I've been working on a thing and Im really excited about it....
It's important to me that I provide QUALITY strategies and SOUND advice when it comes to health and wellness and supporting Women who are BUSY and don't have time to waste on something that "might" work for them.
Having said that, I came across this strategy (through fellow health and wellness peers and endless research), and it got me VERY excited right away.
It was the BEST thing Ive seen thus far to address the DOZENS of negative mental and physical health symptoms the busy ladies I work with face on the daily....
BUT ... I didnt run to yell it from the rooftops right away until I vetted every possible false claim, loophole, and whether it could really work for the women I work with...
(WOMEN I WORK WITH: 30s-50s, Busy, Struggled with weight most of their lives, usually have kids and a family to maintain, tried everything under the sun to lose weight and feel confident in their skin, they live in a high-stress world and have NO time to waste on BS.)
I know, this reeks of an infomercial.... but seriously, I am speaking from the heart.
I have spent almost 12 years in the health and fitness industry and OBSESSED with finding the fastest, safest, most effective, and most sustainable way to feel like Wonder Woman, Lose weight and keep it off FOREVER!
I have vetted this approach and it is no BS... in the case of the women I personally work with... eating too much and moving too little is NOT usually the thing that is holding them back. It is THIS ---- "Unhappy" Hormones and resulting Depressed Metabolism.
