Today’s viewings are 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Funeral home. Tomorrow will start with a viewing, then funeral and “luncheon” of mom’s favorite sweets.

Mom earned her angel wings last night. Her heart was too weak for all that was going on. She passed with peace and dignity with Missy, dad and I by her side.

Cannot believe it’s been over a year. 😔 No good news or updates. Having another scope this afternoon to clear her lungs.

Well. We are 22 Days from moms 1 Year Anniversary from surgery. I wish I had better news.
She’s still at Corewell. She’s comfortable but still having issues with her lungs/stint being blocked. Her trech wound is still opening so it’s hard for her to talk. Next step is to get her well enough to transfer to a Nursing/Therapy facility. So please keep her in your thoughts.

Stopped by MFB to celebrate mom’s Bday. She’s in good spirits. Is realizing how weak she is so hopefully her amazing team will get her up and walking soon. 🎉🎁🎂

Vicki is being sent to Mary Free Bed this week. She is now deemed “Failure to thrive” as she is hardly eating or doing her PT. Pls keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Me again! Vicki had total blockage in her right lung airway so a new larger stint was placed. She’s doing well but spending the night at Corwell for observation. ❤️

Well, it’s been a minute but I figured I would send out a quick update. Mom is okay -ish. The strokes are definitely making life a challenge and she is in need of 24hr care. She will have another scope tomorrow as her oxygen capacity isn’t great.

Well. Today is the day. Mom is headed home this afternoon. She’s excited but nervous with all the changes. Pls understand that she is pretty overwhelmed and wants to wait for visitors. Cards are still the best. Thank you to everyone! ❤️

Hi, Vicki’s Cheerleaders! Sorry it’s been so long. Mom was in Quarantine for weeks with Covid. Her mental health is not so great. Her team and family are trying our hardest to see how we can help but it’s up to her to do the work eat properly and try. ❤️ 😞
